We're playing at OT against a mid-bottom of the table team, so it will be more of a RM role, pushing up the field with minimal tracking back. This will be a tough test. Swansea won't play like they usually do, they're playing a lot of balls over the top which is the 3-5-2's main weakness.

As for the youngsters, I have faith in Van Gaal. He's done it everywhere he has been, and most of the time the younger players delivered.
lol we have Lingard and Young playing full back. Obviously its very attacking and can see it being an entertaining and open game. Hopefully we come out on top.Never been this excited for a season opener since 06/07. Hope we get off to a good start and that Blackett and Lingard repay LVG's faith in them. Chicharito and Young have a thing or two to prove as well. If anything I expect the players to be hungry and prove that they still belong at the top.

This is an incredibly exciting time for me as a United fan, two more local lads breaking into our first team for their first games on the first day of the season, with a new and proven manager playing a completely new style of football yet already maintaining the traditions of what this club is all about.
