The caf loves Bailly. Waiting for everyone to turn on him. Can't be far away.

He’s good and a bit of a rough diamond, glad we have him, but he’s got some way to go before being considered great.

He’s got a howler in him every game I see him, just depends if it’s punished or not.

Edit: the last paragraph applies to all our defenders really...

When is the last game Smalling didn't start?

He's overrated by United fans in general. Has a big mistake in him every match. Still has some growing to do, not as good as Smalling yet.

Like most, surprised to see Bailly dropped to the bench, especially with Lindelof in his place. Not sure what he's done to deserve a start. Odd times though when I'm more concerned with Pogba and Sanchez starting than Lindelof though. Need a performance from those two today.

Rubbish. Smalling is clearly the better defender. Not as good on the ball perhaps but easily better defensively.

You need to work on your comparisons. That's a pretty shit one.

I don't have a problem with you seeing Smalling as our best defender, but you telling him his opinion is rubbish as yours is considered a fact made me laugh so hard.

Absolutely zero width with those attackers. Young and Valencia will need to step up.

The music NBC play when they build up to the game is like something from Pirates of the Caribbean

Sanchez looks like he's lost a step in pace. Lingard is about as quick as Memphis was.

Beating a man is not only about pace. Neither are as slow as Mata, who, granted, is very slow.

I understand some losing their shit after the game, but before the ball is even kicked, well that's always a mystery.

Smalling is a lot better than people here give him credit for, I'd keep him ahead of Jones or Lindelof.

Ah! Missed the pre match moaning

Martial not picked - oh noooooo he must be off
Rashford not picked - oh noooooo not good at all
Shaw not picked - oh nooooo he must be off
Smalling picked - oh nooooo he is not good enough
Mata picked - oh noooo he is so slow
Lingard picked - oh nooooo he is still crap

Rashford has recieved significantly more gametime than Martial since the arrival of Sanchez. Martial was beginning to find form before he was unceremoniously dropped in favour of Jose's shiny new toy, he has a right to feel a little peeved at his omission from the starting lineup lately.

Genuinely concerned that should his lack of gametime continue for the remainder of the season, Martial may just consider his options during pre-season. All things considered, would you blame him?

Where have you got this from? Utter rubbish. This is Rashford's minutes since Alexis has arrived and that's not even considering that Martial has been injured for the last few weeks, missing Palace and Liverpool. If this is significantly more, I don't know what to say.

Rashford game time since Alexis Signing:
    88 Minutes against Yeovil
    Benched against Spurs
    19 Minutes against Huddersfield
Not in the Squad against Newcastle
    Benched against Chelsea
    45 Minutes against Palace.
70 Minutes against Liverpool (Scored a brace)
90 Minutes against Sevilla (On the RW)
    15 Minutes against Brighton

Martial game time since Alexis Signing:
    Martial rested against Yeovil.
    90 Minutes against Spurs
    13 Minutes against Huddersfield
    90 Minutes against Newcastle
    64 Minutes against Chelsea
    Injured and misses Palace.
    Injured and misses Liverpool.
Returns from injury and gets 13 minutes against Sevilla.

I just replied back in kind to a similarly exaggerated statement. No need to get precious.

    Mourinho explains his team selection
    The United boss told MUTV:

“I try to know the way Swansea are coming and I try to choose players who are more adapted to this game.

“For example, Lindelof is probably our centre-back who comes into the midfield better with the ball and is a better passer of the ball. Paul has quality passes and can make the change in direction.

“Alexis is different to Marcus [Rashford] because Marcus needs more space. Alexis, in small spaces, can manipulate the ball better and is trying his best to be one against one. So the decisions are based on that.

Martial and Rashford on the bench, who are they going to come on for?
They usually come on for the other :)

I like to see Mata and Sanchez together, Mata seems to me to be the one that plays best together with Sanchez.

Swap seats after the 60th minute

It's kind of strange to hear his reasoning. Not that it's wrong but I'd much prefer a United team setting up like they want to against a bottom table team and them having to worry about adjusting for us rather than us having to adjust to an opponent at home.

Two things on telly at once. Dubai World Cup and I'm trying to make a few quid on Frankie Dettori's arse and the United Game. Never fails.

Has Sanchez done something I haven't noticed to get another start today?

In that case he's been first choice since the start of October.

Yes. He got into the side due to Bailly injury at this time and established himself since then. Hard to argue with that as he's basically the only defender available all the time. Had only one minor injury this season so far.

Think this has been the way since Moyes came in. All the managers since have over thought the opposition to our cost at times.

Jose in a nutshell. Complain about balance and players. Continue playing mostly unbalanced teams. Anyway Swansea are a very poor side, there’s simply no excuse not beating them at home no matter who’s on the pitch.
