Di Maria upfront and Rooney in midfield?
Seems like a waste and totally unnecessary to play them out of position when there is no need to.

No Januzaj or Falcao today,would have been good to have atleast one of them on the bench instead of 3 defenders in case things dont work out

It really makes no sense. He's not Robben. It's not exactly like he's there to accommodate Rooney who in truth is nothing more than above average in midfield.

Switch them around and its a completely different story.

I should imagine Di Maria will take up whatever position he wants (within reason). Be it up front, or out wide whatever. Rooney will provide support through the middle when he goes outside, etc. It'll be cool.
