He'll be alright. Mata has been on good form and Rooney has scored a goal last game. Would want him over the latter one, but I don't see Rooney being dropped soon.

Its weird how it seems to be believed that you have to be some sort of immortal superbeing to play in a midfield two, and there are doubts that Pogba, among the best midfielders in the world, can cut it.

We won the league with Tom shitting Cleverley in a midfield two. Pogba will be fine.

Nobody is doubting Pogba 'can cut it'. But many people think he will have to be somewhat restrained and won't be able to play at his best. Which seems to be a bit of a waste.

I partly agree with that, but I'm also happy to see how he goes in a midfield two over the course of a month or so.

I would think Pogba will be allowed to roam forward and link up with Mata who will tuck in more. Martial will stay wide and Fellaini to stay further back, with Rooney slightly off to the left would be my hope.

I don't like the line-up, but I like the idea, that players who did a good first match don't get dropped.

In other words: Fellaini playing tells the people on the bench that there is a chance for everybody.

But they must use it if they have the chance to be on the pitch.
