If Casemiro is unavailable, I'd go with...

    DDG
    AWB - Lindelof - Martinez - Shaw
    McTominay - Sabitzer - Fred
    Bruno - Rashford - Sancho

If it's not working, Antony and/or Garnacho on.

Strong start, and nothing sloppy, I'd take a 2-0 back out there, even a 0-0 isn't to bad no loss. A win and not concede.

Casimero hopefully will play only if he fit. I expect a reaction and hope we get it.

It became loud in that Barcelona game the moment Fred scored straight after half time.

Have been to plenty of Man United v Liverpool games in old Trafford and Anfield over the years and atmospheres in the stadiums was pretty much on par. I don't get to as many matches now as I use too but of those I attend I choose evening kick offs as they are easily the best atmospheres.

Yeah that's how I felt it was. Barca had us (team and supporters) rattled in the first half. I sensed that it was a case of 'here we go again' from the supporters in the first half, when they were playing us off the pitch. Really it should have been bouncing in the first half to try and get the team going, but it just wasn't and it seemed the crowd was accepting of/expecting a defeat, with the way the game was shaping up.

I think we are going to see something very different from ETH based on fatigue, injured payers and him wanting to not expose the team so I think we might see something like this ; D De Gea(GK) AWB(RB), H Maguire (CB) L Martinez (CB) T Mallacia(LB), V Lindelof (CDM), S Mctominay (CM), J Sancho (10), Antony (RW), Rashford (9), Garnaucho (Lw)

Maybe Martinez and Lindelof swap positions, but he will want to make sure there is no space at all. Casemeiro, Sabitzer and Martial are apparently injured and the bench will offer enough to change if things go wrong

; the bench J Butland, L Shaw, Dalot, Varane, Fred, F Pellistri, Weghorst, K Maino, Bruno I would let even be surprised if Joe Huigall or Charlie McNeil got a call up.

A 0-0 would put quite a bit of pressure on us though: having to win in Spain to avoid a gruelling extra time is not something this squad needs right now.

Casemiro is fit according to EtH. McNeill is on loan at Newport County.

Surely we can’t be happy with a draw at home. And why a 0-0… away goals don’t count anymore. Got to win this, will be a tough game at their place.

    Dave
    AWB, Lindelof, Martinez, Malacia
    Anthony, Sabitzer, Fred
    Sancho, Elanga, Garnacho

Bruno, Rashford, Shaw, Verane, Cas all need a rest

There was a here we go again feeling to the atmosphere once went behind but for me Barcelona weren't overly impressive in that half and the penalty i believe their only shot on target in the half.

    So..

    Real Betis - Real Madrid 0 - 0
    Liverpool - Real Madrid 2 - 5
    Liverpool - Manchester United 7 - 0
    Manchester United - Real Betis ? - ? :wenger:

    Manchester United 2-1 Barcelona
    Liverpool 2-5 Real Madrid
    Barcelona 2-0 Real Madrid
    Liverpool ?-? Manchester United

    Predicting this:

    De Gea
    AWB Maguire Martinez Malacia
    Casemiro Fred
    Sancho Bruno Garnacho
    Rashford
Would be daft not making a few changes from Sunday given we shipped 7.

0-0 is not ideal but you don't concede. A win all the better , know away goals don't count, I think we will need to win and I hope its by 2. If we do concede then I hope its 3-1.

Oh yes its a tough one out there alright, that's why a 2 nil would be ideal or 2 clear goals. But i don't want to concede at all if can.

    AWB Maguire Martinez Malacia
    Casemiro Fred
    Sancho Bruno Garnacho
    Rashford

But we decided to conseve energy after the third. Can't see how can they be tired after that performance other than mentaly.

I think we'll see a few of changes here. Can imagine Varane, Shaw and Bruno and Dalot all sitting this out considering their performances on Sunday. Wouldn't be surprised to see:

    De Gea

    Malacia
    Martinez
    Maguire
    AWB

    Fred
    Casemiro
    Sancho

    Garnacho
    Rashford
    Antony

Give sancho a go at number 10. Rashford, garnacho and Antony front 3. They can really get at them with pace.

    6 - 0 win to United.

Football doesn't make sense, any attempt to understand it will end in madness.

For a composed professional performance you do need running.
Yes of course, as long as you get where you need to be. If you can‘t, because of too many games, make sure you stay organized first and foremost.

just watched a video of the squad training today (United Stand on you tube) Casamiro,Varane, shaw, Bruno et al, all out training in the sleet, so all fit.
Surprisingly Anthony Martial was also out training today with the first team squad so must be fit. ETH doesnt allow injured players to train with the 1st team squad.

They never broadcast the whole session, just some warm-ups & rondos. Martial being there doesn’t mean he took part in the whole session.

Whisper it quietly but getting knocked out on away goals or penalties would be a blessing in disguise. Our squad is nowhere near ready to be playing all these games.
An extra 5 games to win a European trophy . Right

This and the FA cup are very winnable.

We've two quality players for every position at least.

I think after the international break and the better weather, we'll be rejuvenated.

Coming 3rd and winning 3 cups would be considered a very good season.

Only our second every "Treble" if I'm correct, albeit a diminished one
