Perhaps ETH is thinking that last Sunday's humiliation isn't as bad as some people have made out.

His managing of the squad should be questionable at this point, because players don't feel fresh, and yet he is insisting on same eleven.
And if Weghorst starts as number ten, there is absolutely no way to defend the selection. In that case people would basically agree that he is better player than Sancho.
