Can't wait for this.. all I have spoke about all day at work.

Feels like normality is back a big European game at Old Trafford!

    10/11 positions are fixed tonight:

    de Gea
    Young Lindelof ??? Shaw
    Herrera Matic Pogba
    Lingard Rashford Martial
    ---
Romero; Dalot, ???; McTominay, Mata; Sanchez, Lukaku

The bench is difficult, as is who will play at CB with Lindelof. If Smalling had a few games under his belt, I don't think there'd be much debate about him starting. However, despite a good showing against Fulham on his return, it'd probably be a risk and slightly unfair to have him take Bailly or Jones place in the squad.

I can't decide who will start out of Bailly and Jones. Bailly is more athletic which will be useful against Mbappe, but every time I've thought Bailly would start the bigger game, it was Jones who got the nod. I think Ole trusts him more at the moment.

The midfield slot on the bench could be up for grabs, but I think it'll be McTominay. It'll be a huge u-turn to see Fred suddenly given the opportunity even though it's a European game (which was argued he's more suited to).

I'm going to be the most optimistic I've ever been and say Utd 4-1 PSG. Hope we go at them full whack and finish the tie.
I think it will be Jones on the bench with Smalling missing out. It's what I want to see anyway so my thought is biased.

Haven’t had this big European night feeling since Real Madrid 2013, SAF Final season.

Feeling excited heading into this game like this rather than dreading.

Win/Lose or Draw that’s a great sign of the feeling within the club.

Incredible to think in the 6 years since that Real Madrid tie, of the big European sides with only played Bayern (2014) in a knockout European Tie, & that had an air of being resigned to defeat

I think it should be this.

    De Gea

    Young - Lindelof - Jones - Shaw

    Herrera - Matic - Pogba

    Lingard - Rashford - Martial
Got a weird feeling that Lukaku could get a start over Lingard though. Probably just paranoia, hopefully.

Am I the only one who is little worried that there is a bit too much positivity around and media seems to believe that we'll win, almost easily?
Maybe it is all these years of game, but it seems a bit too much to expect a straight forward easy game, regardless of PSG's plight with injuries.
As long as it doesn't affect the players it doesn't matter.

As much of a nightmare Jones can be, I trust him more than Bailly who should be nowhere near starting such a huge game. I'd probably risk Smalling.
How can you ever doubt Jones?

Me too. Yeah, I haven't seen the caf this positive about a big game in a long time.

    Was thinking the same yesterday.

    The "leaker" tweets

The infamous lineup "leaker" who, during the Mourinho era, got most lineups correct and, under Ole, has got 10/11 both times, has tweeted that tonight's lineup will be:

De Gea, Young, Lindelof, Bailly, Shaw, Matic, Herrera, Pogba, Lingard, Rashford, Martial

Worth pointing out that both times he got 10/11, he said Bailly would start when it was Jones and vice versa so up to you whether to choose Bailly or Jones.

31 minutes until lineup predictions close, Samid.
    De Gea
    Young Bailly. Lindelof. Shaw
    Matic
    Herrera. Pogba
    Lingard. Rashford. Martial

    - Alexis & Lukaku to come on 65/70mins. If holding onto a slim lead or clean sheet late on Jones for Lingard 80mins

I don't think we need a "leak" to predict the line up.

    Meh, Jones/Bailly/Rojo - doesn't matter who it is. They're all a worry.

    What's wrong with Smalling?

Smalling just came back from injury so he is probably not ready for this one yet.

Regarding Jones/Bailly/Rojo, yea, you never know what you are gonna get from them. At least Bailly has pace which should help against Mbappe.

Let's go United, these guys from PSG keep thinking they are superior, we should show what it means to have the mental strength of a warrior!

    Ole quotes in programme

    Courtesy of Simon Stone.

“These are the nights we live for at this club. It’s a massive Champions League game against a great opponent, under the floodlights in a fantastic stadium with the best fans in the world cheering us on.

“The players at this club are here because they are special. I believe in these players. That’s why we’ve given new contracts recently. I hope we have more signed in near future. This is a young squad and they have plenty of development left in them before they peak.”
While Bailly is a risk, what we do know is that if he he puts in his absolute best level of performance he's actually an exceptional CB. While Jones might be more consistent, you know that he's going to provide at least one clear mistake a game. To put it another way Bailly is capable of 10/10 performances which Jones isn't, but at his worse Bailly is a 3/10 while Jones probably remains a steady 6/10.

Honestly when. Not recently, I can't really remember the last time he looked anywhere close to exceptional.

Jones is obviously capable of a higher quality performance than Bailly? I'd have thought everyone would agree on that. Some on here still have such a romanticised view of Bailly.

    Leaked United XI
    The leaked United team reads:

De Gea, Young, Bailly, Lindelof, Shaw, Matic, Herrera, Pogba, Lingard, Martial and Rashford.

Now, the last two leaked teams have each featured one error and they have come at centre half. Jones wasn’t in Saturday’s but started and Bailly was not in the early Leicester XI but went onto start. Do not be surprised if it is Jones over Bailly this evening. Then again, Bailly’s pace against Mbappe is somewhat logical.

    Eric Bailly.

I don't think theres a massive amount between them but Jones has more consistent errors in him. Bailly can produce moments of world class defending such has his speed against Aubameyang etc. I personally think Bailly has looked far better than Jones in recent games.

It's going to be Bailly cause of Mbappe's pace. It might have been Jones if we were up against Cavani.
