I just thought to myself - this is the worst United team I’ve seen in the post Fergie era.

Moyes - we at least had some of the players we had fond memories of - Rooney, Rio etc. it was 100% the manager that was the issue.

LVG - galacticos! Di Maria, Falcao, the Schmidfield! It wasn’t pretty but it had its highlights and the FA Cup win.

Mourinho - the most successful post Fergie! Pogba, Zlatan Sanchez at the piano….

Ole - 5 months of utter brilliance. Paris, we’re back! Finished second. Sancho, Ronaldo back, Varane from Madrid!

The first season from Ten Hag was the most promising I’ve seen since I think Mourinho’s second season but wow this year……I look at who’s here and honestly there’s not a single player, other than maybe Rasmus Hojland as an “up and coming talent” that would get in the team of most of our competition. I’m also including our two “stars” Rashford and Bruno based on what they’re currently doing. It’s disgraceful.
We say that in the second/third seasons of every manager post Fergie, If I could have a pound for every time I've heard that since 2013.....

Here's the problem, manager will be sacked, new manager will come in, those at the top of the club will be able to try again with a clean slate, a few hundred mill and a new manager. Rinse and repeat....

Well then try hiring a good one instead of a shit one, and when you have a shit one don’t give him a bunch of money to spend on ‘his players’.
He wasn't considered shit at Ajax was he? Or last season? Now the players have got sick of him and decided they dont like him they are throwing him under the bus like they have every other manager. I'm not saying he's blameless, there are things he could have done/be doing better but this is largely on the players imo.

any chance we can enter the DAF Trophy or whatever it's called now? meanwhile what is that pratt from BBC doing fronted Sky's progarmme?

I assumed AWB wasn’t in the squad at all today as it’s beyond me why we would start Dalot over him

We have zero idea how to create chances. There is no plan of attack. No desire to play 1-2s to create space. Somehow both our wingers and FBs face 2v1 situations every time in attack and defense respectively. Our chance creation is entirely dependent of a precise long ball from Casemiro/Eriksen/Bruno. Either that or winning the ball near opposition area. It's insane how we've made our entire attack plan to be so reactive.

As for the goals conceded, it's not surprising anymore. We're the least athletic team in the league. Anytime a team goes for the physical battle they come out on top. It's a combination of slow, weak players and the lack of desire across the team. Dalot seeing Almiron and not sprinting to cover is horrible. It's abdication of responsibility. He's hoping the others will block the pass so might as well take the lazy option. Just unprofessional.

Maybe we can draw this and take it to penalties, but smart money would be on Newcastle scoring early in the half and cruising to a win. This team doesn't have any idea what to do.

None of these managers are unknown though. Marco Rose might be less renown than the others though. Emery has a better CV than Ten Hag and Nagelsmann's is comparable. I'd hazard a guess that most of these guys were likely more familiar with Nagelsmann than they were with Ten Hag, to be honest

To you. To people like you.

Nagelsmann aint coming. He just went to Germany.

So its Emery or Rose and neither walks into this dressing room and commands respect.

This club's rot has finally got to the terminal phase.

AWB is good news - if he really is 100% fit. But in a game, where we need 2 goals, I am a little surprised.

And why would Emery want to come here when he is transforming Villa.

United is a shit team - but it still is United.

Not every manager will pass up on being able to spend £400m and being afforded this much patience.

2 subs after that. What the feck is ETH even doing?

Martial is still on when we have Hojlund on the bench.

Clearly not even trying to come back. Pathetic.

Two subs to try keep it 2-0. Feck me we have fallen to rock bottom.

Whatever we're doing in training is not working. That's a starting point. These players aren't improving. It's like they're all brand new to the game. Every single one of them.

It's not even about improving. It's about playing at the same standard as when they were purchased for starters.

Lindelof as the captain sums up this fecking regime perfectly. Awful.

Its absolute joke. A mouse of a player. A player who would always rather go backwards than try and play a difficult ball through the lines. Someone who hides, constantly. Captain?!

This is the midfiled three (minus Eriksen for Hannibal) that I think is the best balance. Balls on ETH leaving the reckless serenader on.

not sure you can blame lindelof for errors by the clowns beforehand... i think he might have been one of our better players tonight
not blaming him for the goal just that he didn't even attempt to stick a leg out to block the shot attempt...the shit defending again came from Dalot

Will be interesting to see whether Martial can be bothered to pull off a single sprint this half
