    Why Rashford on the bench.. is it because last game his shooting has been off?
     
    Our lack of replacement for Eriksen is my worry with this season. Raises our game to a completely different level.

    I think Sancho suits this game more than Rashford. There won’t be much space to run into behind. Rashford struggles against deep lying defences.

    Yeah I actually think we need Fred’s energy and running to match newcastles midfield. Eriksen and casemiro may have got over run in there.
     
    Jesus looking that bench then surely we are going to see a youngster or two get on the pitch today?
     
    Solid team, looking for Antony and Sancho to get fizzing one-twos around on their wings to create space.
     
    No Eriksen is a big problem. With him out and Ronaldo starting, Bruno is bound to have one of his 'always look for Ronaldo' games. Hope it leads to a goal tonight. Big performance needed from Sancho and Fred. At least the defense looks solid.
     
    Where’s eriksen? And why’s rashford on bench? I don’t think Newcastle will play as compact as most teams, think they’ll attack us so they’ll be space in which rashford could of exploited.
     
    Ronaldo in the lineup pretty much ensures this is gonna be a very difficult game.
     
    Will be interesting to see how Casemiro and Fred get on playing together in the premier league.. they should know each others game pretty well.
     
    I'm writing off Martial now. Let's see if he will be fit and can stay injury free after the WC.

    It's not like Sancho himself was doing well against low block teams like vs Omonia away ..

    I am really hoping that today Sancho shows us something different.. more fight and more intensity in his play

    Omonia was a deep lying defence and he destroyed them in 45 mins and should have scored a hat trick last week. Everton was a deep lying defence and he was one of our best players. Rashford has been ill - as has Eriksen.

     
    Very happy for Mainoo. Well deserved.

    Meanwhile we're playing against a 3-man midfield (and a good one at that) so I expect us to be outplayed in midfield again simply due to numbers. This may be a tough watch but hopefully 3 points at the end.
     
    Very happy to see Varane back, but very worried to see Fred starting instead of Eriksen. Is Christian ok?

    Would have also preferred to see Martial upfront instead of the GOAT pensioner
     
    Sancho better put in a performance today I feel like tripper will be getting forward alot so he should have space to work in.
     
    Bench looks really thin, shame about Eriksen and Rashford being ill. Delighted for Mainoo, heard so much good about him.
     
    Bit worried now, thought this could easily go either way even with full strength team. Eriksen is a big miss. If we concede first we lose I reckon. Need to keep it tight and as usual not be wasteful in front of goal.
     
    Iqbal and Mainoo our only midfielders on the bench, surely one of them gets a run out today.
