Get a grip.Good performance, especially in 2nd half from us. The incisiveness is lacking upfront for us and it was also a game where both teams canceled each other out.Missed opportunity really with citeh having no aguero or silva in their team. We were the better side in the second half but they defended well and showed no real ambition to get forwards other than on the counter.
In a sense, having their two best players out led them to playing these tactics really.
We of course found it hard to break them down and Rooney was really poor to say the least. You cant be successful playing the way we play when the spearhead of your attack is that inept. LVG needs to realize that Martial should always play as the furtherest upfront. He is wasted on that left wing where he can be easily double teamed.
Not when we are playing at home and them missing two of their best players.

Nobody had any idea of how to win it. City defended well but we looked bereft of ideas around their penalty area. Martial has to play as the main striker and Rooney needs a rest for a game or two. Give Lingard a chance. Unless Schweini was knackered, I saw no point in taking him off. Fellaini did well and maybe he should have come on for Rooney but Van Gaal won't hook him.I think that Rooney was one of our better players today. I struggle to see what he did wrong?- Status
