    Somethings never change.

Whatever the line up was gonna be, someone in the matchday thread would call it 'comical' or 'crap' despite having the same 25 man squad and would more than likely pick the same players that are available to them.

    Dear lord almighty.
Yeah exactly I would put Lindelof on the right instead of Dalot, who I would put on the left and bench Reguilon who is actually left back. Additionaly I would start Eriksen in a high energy game and bench Mount who actually has a good egine. And I am not saying the last two mentioned are playing the same position. But Eriksen has proven he can't cope under such pressure.

It will either be a shock win for us and we will all laugh or it will be a drubbing and we will need to laugh about it (otherwise we will cry).

What do you like about that team then?
Pretty decent line up all things considered.

Varane is injury prone and more than likely is being bedded in, I would have liked to see Reguilon start but as he too is coming back from injury I suspect he's too being taken a bit lightly having played 90mins on Tuesday.

Even with the injuries that lineup is proper nuts.

I'd give it about a 0% chance of working.

Hope to be proved wrong of course

Fair point but is Evans our only backup

Jonny Evans is our 5th choice centre back. Unfortunately, we have a lot of injuries, which has meant we've had to use him, and to be fair to him, he's played pretty well when he's come into the team, but this might be too much to ask.

    Malacia
    Reguilon
    Shaw
    Wan-Bissaka
    Martinez
    Varane

When your manager spends 150 mil on midfielder and winger and then, in biggest game puts them on the bench for McTominay and Bruno (who is not even a winger) then it is slightly laughable, isn't it?

what a shit team.. and what sort of a situation has ETH created with Mount, it's absolutely bonkers.

invisible Bruno on the right, 5 passes per game McTominay hiding in midfield, defence is relegation standard..

Scott McTominay, how the hell does he keep getting picked?
I can only assume he is still living on the credit of those two goals but he has been dire since then. Would prefer to have Hannibal playing honestly.

Good to see Mainoo on the bench at least.

What would you have gone with?

Varane and Reg are on the bench…they both played on Tuesday

Bruno on the right is like playing with 10 men, in a game where the ball will be limited the logical thing to do would be going for the counter and we can’t even do that with Bruno

McTominay, Amrabat and Eriksen is something Everton would put out. His 55m signing Mount is on the bench

    No

Because if he warrants a starting line up position, regardless of form, just because he cost so much, then that's the completely wrong way to be looking at it.

The Gulf in quality, success and ambition has well and truly been put into perspective, if this are just 7 years stats, not withstanding the 115 charges.

Incredible how far we have fallen.

Yikes at that back four and midfield two. On paper we should get tonked. Let's wait and see, but I am not looking forward to it.

I do agree but we’ve all seen Bruno on the right wing. It’s a fecking disaster that never works. It’s even worse against a side where we won’t get the ball because we cant even counter now

Do you want us to score or not?

In 2 of the 3 matches in which he scored he wiped out the benefit of his goals by immediately giving away pens. He offers nothing in midfield, although I'm not sure it matters. I don't see any combination of our available players getting a result today.

This is going to be an absolute disaster.

Looks like trying to be too clever.
