    I don’t get nervous, but I’m starting to get a little shaky… I’m a little bit woii

I don’t think we’ll be dominated like at their place. They’ll probably have most of the ball but I think at times we’ll have a fare share of possession. We need to go all guns blazing like against Liverpool. We tore them apart in the first halve. Need a repeat performance

I swear we always lose early Saturday kickoffs
More or less, apart from other week when we beat wolves in an early game. Hate the early games because if we lose it ruins the weekend. But if we win can enjoy watching our rivals drop points.

I just hope we give the best account of ourselves that we’re capable of. No stupid mistakes and cause them problems.

    feck sake I'm nervous now.

Have a bad feeling about this :(

Called the Casemiro, Fred and Eriksen midfield with Bruno on the right earlier in the thread so like that.

Less keen on Shaw at CB in this game but he hasn’t put a foot wrong there so far.

can see why Fred would start

Antony hasn't been playing that well and we need more metal in midfield

Eriksen 10 and Bruno right I presime

Martinez looked very rusty on Tuesday so it's hardly a surprise given how well Shaw has done at center back.

Fred has been really good recently, Eriksen not so much.

Bruno is appalling on the right though, ugh.

Don’t think we have anything to lose.
Lose it’s the usual. Let’s just go for it

ETH obviously knows that Fred is needed for this game. About 90% of us on this forum predicted him to start for energy.

Shaw playing CB worries me. It's okay against the likes of Bournemouth and Wolves but the speed and movement of City's attack with Haaland up against him feels like a massive mistake from Ten Hag :nervous::nervous::nervous:

Fred absolutely deserves a start after his impressive cameos of late and his energy will be paramount today in the midfield area. I have no objections whatsoever and in fact, I would’ve had him in my XI, too.

If we lose then we just need arsenal to beat spurs and Fulham to beat Newcastle or a draw.

Trust Erik but feel like Martinez could have been introduced much sooner following the world cup, certainly when compared to Varane who arguably needed more of a break. Feels like we've contributed to some of the lack of sharpness shown on Tuesday night

Fred had to start for me and I’d rather have Bruno and Eriksen on the pitch to play passes than Antony. Shaw starting over 3 CBs is a huge call but Martinez looked way off it in the week and Shaw plus Malacia in that channel is the quickest combo we have against Haaland. I don’t think we’re winning, we’re not there yet but please just turn up and fecking lay something on them.

Not to mention how much we miss Shaw from LB.

ten Hag must be a big fan of Shaw at centre back if he's willing to play him there in this game.

Love how Fred is possibility starting, though. Need the legs in the engine room.

People are reading into shaw too much. Haaland scored a hat trick versus varane and martinez a couple of months ago. Stopping him doesnt come down to one man, it comes down to stopping the supply
