Hope you enjoy the experience. Went to my first derby last season when City beat us 0-2 at OT. Gutted but not surprised at the score. The City fans were humiliating us with their chants though.
    Cheers
Yeah I've already prepared myself for the worst, especially if maguire does miss out.
At least results yesterday somewhat went our way. If Everton can get points off Chelsea this almost becomes a free hit in my mind.

As with all the big games first goal is huge, if we can get it id fancy us to draw at least

Williams looks lost in a back 5. I just feel it's quite unnecessary because of that. Shaw often ends up playing as a left back and Williams just hovers around. Bailly has been very good coming back.

Play a back four with Matic-Fred-McTominay in front.

This club has always talked about DNA and the United Way, but the truth is the mentality has changed so much. At the sight of a better team, even at home, the response seems to put in an extra defender, just for the sake of it, even though that extra defender has done nothing in the recent weeks to suggest he's deserving of a start.

This City team has problems in defence and walked all over Real Madrid when they were allowed to push higher when Zidane took off the threat of Vinicius. If it's a back 5 with 3 central midfielders we are playing to their strengths.

    But not spotted yet?
No he hasn't been spotted by MEN photographers last night. But Martial wasn't with the squad the night before the Everton game and he ended up playing.

Also, the squad spotted by MEN consists of only 19 players including 3 GKs. So I would expect there to at least one more player there in case someone gets injured in the warm-up.

i hate the 352...nothing good ever comes of it. I wold have liked to see the same formation against derby with mata starting. We actually play quite well with mata and bruno together. Only problem with this will be sterling free to destroy us.

Not keen on the 3-5-2 either, rarely play well when using it. We just seem awkward with it and it takes are cutting edge away going forward. Would much rather we go with a 4-4-2 diamond or a 4-3-3 for this one.

    Predicted line-up:

    DDG

    AWB, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, Williams

    Fred, McSauce, Bruno

    James, Martial

    Subs: Ighalo, Bailly, Matic

Im so pumped for this game now! I really hope we see a Good performance from the lads today. And please De gea, dont make us fight from behind the first minute please. Mistakes Will be crucial and we been doing some great results against city recently with Ole in charge. Also think Maguire Will start. Just mind games!

    I want to see:
    DDG
    AWB
    Maguire
    Lindelof
    Shaw
    Williams
    Matic
    Fred
    Bruno
    James
    Martial

Ighalo from the bench if we need a goal.
City have that Real game in 9 days, hope they nit risking some players for that match, too.

    CMON REDS!! 3 POINTS!!

Interesting if true about Brandon. I can't see it not being a three at the back unless Shaw has picked up a knock or Wan-Bissaka is still missing. Williams is right-footed which I reckon most neutrals don't know, so there is a possibility that he is being preferred over Dalot at Right Back today as well. Even if the latter turns out to be true, it doesn't mean we automatically go to a different formation, as Bailly could be involved in a back three also.

Any of these could be the play:

    de Gea
    Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    Wan-Bissaka McTominay Matic Fred Williams
    Fernandes
    Martial

    de Gea
    Williams Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    Matic
    McTominay Fred
    Fernandes
    Greenwood Martial

    de Gea
    Bailly Lindelof Maguire
    Williams McTominay Matic Fred Shaw
    Fernandes
    Martial

I'm going to be a little surprised if all of Matic, McTominay, Fred and Bruno don't start regardless of how we set up. I don't think Ighalo will start this, so if we do go with two strikers I expect Greenwood to get the nod. It'll feel a bit negative if we don't play two forwards, but either way I fancy a bit more of a diamond to try and stifle City's superior midfield.

I'd take a draw right off, but going to be bold and say we'll win 3-1 despit having sub 35% of the ball!

Hard to give reason to leave matic out of the team, hes been in very good form this past month or so, he was our best player against everton and the team has looked defensively more solid minus de gea making yet more mistakes.

Been raining a bit here. Hope it continues for the game.

Rashford out, Pogba out, Maguire out, Martial out, everyone out, nobody plays today.

If Maguire is out and we play a back 4 I'd have huge worries about Lindelof and Bailly playing against a false 9 like Dr Bruyne.

Lindelof isn't proactive enough and Bailly too rash. Can see them getting dragged all over the place.

I'd stick to 532, and drop Shaw back there as well with Williams wide left. Go for safety in numbers and clog the middle as much as possible.

    DDG
    Bailly - Maguire - Shaw
    AWB - McToiminay - Fred - Willams
    Bruno
    James _________ Martial
I think we will be looking at something like this. James hasn't been in great form but he will be essential to our counter attacks.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't Bailly really struggled in the past when he's played as part of a back three? That's a big worry if Maguire is out. Or even if he's fit and we end up playing all three of the central defenders instead of Shaw coming inside.

Wan Bissaka as well?? our only hope against the girl runner. This is preposterous! postpone this game at once!

I don’t think they’ll play a back3 if Maguire’s injured. It’s too big of a match to experiment with a totally new constellation plus, as you say, Bailly has struggled with this in the past.

Without Rashford, I really wanted James fit for this game. Whilst his overall game isn't as good as Martial's and Greenwood's, his sheer pace and tenacity unsettles back lines.
