Their main threat isn't Aguero me thinks but someone who runs like a girl. He's terrifying.

Increased risk of a handball. Surely someone has had a word with the lad and he’s doing it to wind everyone up.

As good as we have been defensively of late, I cant help but to think someone at the back will have a brain fart to concede a stupid goal! I think we can score 1 or 2 goals against this city side even with the paltry 35% possession we will have but have to keep it tight at the back.

But Sterling has never in his time at Liverpool and City scored against us. I really hope I haven't jinxed it now.

He's also never really performed against us.

Edit: the girly runner not Aguero

Don't get too carried away. I hope AWB and Ole are ready with a plan to stop him, you can never trust a guy who runs like Velma from Scooby Doo.

True, maybe He's just taking the piss or maybe He's a misunderstood genius. He's really fast. His arms movements might help improve his body's aerodynamic, their intent is to 'spoil' unfavorable air movement across Sterling's body in motion.

I hope we start Mata over James.
Mata has played well recently and his linkup with Bruno has been quite key for us.

4/1 at home with the bookies. I find that to be a massive price. Even if I do think it’ll be a draw.

United's confirmed provisional squad vs Man City:

Goalkeepers: David de Gea, Sergio Romero, Nathan Bishop.

Defenders: Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof, Axel Tuanzebe, Eric Bailly, Luke Shaw, Brandon Williams.

Midfielders: Nemanja Matic, Fred, Scott McTominay, Andreas Pereira, Juan Mata, Bruno Fernandes.

Forwards: Odion Ighalo, Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood.

Glad to hear that AWB has made it but potentially no Maguire is a massive blow unless it’s some sort of kidology as what we seen last week against Everton regarding Tony.

    Some sort of oxymoron, no?

Just heading off to get the train now.
Absolutely pumped, my first Manchester Derby
I'm not overly confident as City are clearly the better side but I've never seen us lose live yet boys, just saying :)

Looking very much like Harry hasn't won his battle to be fit for this game

I wonder if City will go with that weird 4-4-2 with 2 false nines and 2 wide forwards again.

That's the only way City are going to beat us today.

    Like we did vs Everton

3 centre backs of Lindelof , Bailly and Shaw has made me less confident

    I've gone for this:

    De Gea
    Lindelof Bailly Shaw
    Wan-Bissaka Fred McTominay Williams
    Fernandes
    Ighalo Martial

    1-1.

Hope you enjoy the experience. Went to my first derby last season when City beat us 0-2 at OT. Gutted but not surprised at the score. The City fans were humiliating us with their chants though.

Will be interesting to see how City line up. This is a good time for us to play them IMO, we're in good form and feeling confident.

Bernardo Silva has been a real pain for us in recent years at OT, hopefully Shaw in his form right now can handle him better.

Hope Aguero doesn't start as he always scores against us, Pep usually seems to prefer Jesus or a false 10 when playing against us.

A little bit of a free hit this weekend considering the draws or Tottenham and Wolves but a win would do us absolute wonders.

If Maguire's out, we will lose I think. I'd change my pick from 2-1 to 1-2 in that case. Lindelof and Bailly against City's forwards will be hellish.

I was guessing a 3 at the back but doubt Ole will play that if Maguire’s out. Think he will go for a strong midfield instead with
    Ddg
    AWB, Bailly, Lindelof, Shaw
    Matić, Fred, McT, Bruno
    Ighalo, Martial

Most problem for United was when they played no forwards.

We haven’t the pace to spring on them without Rashford and James being in awful form (and potentially being injured too). Maguire potentially being injured is also a massive defensive blow.

Hopefully with Bruno in there and the likes of Fred and Matic in better form recently we can control the game a little bit better. Or, that we can create something from nothing from a set piece or a long shot.

Looking like we'll both be without main CBs. Ole will probably pack the midfield with no Harry to play in a 3 man defence. If we can turn them using Bruno and Mata finding angles, we could get into them. Need Martial to have one his On-mode days.

All being well, United 2-0, Ighalo & Bruno

We have to remember that there is more on the line for United while City have Madrid on the horizon. I think we can get the win but a draw would be a good result.

I know it never matters, but the combined teams I'm seeing are starting to look a bit more even.

A few more signings in the summer, and I reckon we can have a good go at the title next season.

Ole does tend to bullshit about injuries so wouldn’t be surprised to see Maguire

I dunno, I think the player actually ruling himself out via twitter but then playing would be taking it far!

I agree. We've a couple of obvious issues to solve, but I feel knowing what the issues are, as it seems Ole and the club are finally starting to grasp, is better than having no ideas what to do. Whether they fancy actually properly addressing the issues is another matter. I think they do, now, at last.

We'll need at least a point here to keep 5 th and remain in touch with Chelsea. So I fully expect 6 is to go ahead and shoot ourselves in the foot.
