What makes you think that there will be more intensity against MCFC, than Barca?
At Barca, it was a big European night. Huge stadium. Massive history. Huge stadium.
And you are saying that our players will play with more intensity at OT (where we have a poor record, under Ole), than we did at the Nou Camp?

    Genuine question.
Just as a reaction to the other day.

Exactly the same team that played against Everton please. None of them deserve to be protected and none of them should be allowed to hide. I bet most of them don't even want to play, they don't deserve to get away with it.

Send them out for another battering and let's see if they start caring then.

    --------Butterhands
    Young - Rojo - Bailly - Valencia
    --------Darmian- Fredge - Matić
    ------Lukaku - Sanchez - Martial

Left side is inept, right side is lazy and shit, two ticking timebombs in the centre-half, useless shit upfront. Pogba on the bench so people can say something like 'see? he's not the problem'. Everybody's happy.

Honorable mention to Jones because stupid shit is injured.

I'm assuming or probably more so hoping Everton was rock bottom. Surely getting spanked 4 0 by fecking Everton has to be a wake up call, luckily, all of our rivals did us a favour too, top 4 is still there to be played for.

I've been too optimistic at most points in the season, so I reckon we get beat here, maybe 2 or 3 - 1.

Think the team will look something like this:

    De Gea

    Dalot
    Smalling
    Lindelof
    Shaw

    McTominay
    Pereirra
    Pogba

    Martial
    Rashford/Lingard
    Lukaku/Greenwood

If they fail here, we may as well play the kids till the end of the season.

So difficult to call a team for this.

Do we drop all the Everton culprits even though that would mean dropping the entire team? Do we instead make all the shite players run the gauntlet? Is it fair to put youngsters in alongside this dross in a game we're likely to be annihilated in?

I think we should be playing the exact same 11 tbh. We want to lose anyway.

    De Gea

    Darmian Smalling Lindelof Shaw

    Dalot McTominay Fred Martial
    . . . . . . . Pogba

    Sanchez

Five in midfield, Dalot/Martial/Pogba (one of) to try and break and link to Sanchez who can hopefully replicate his finishing of two years ago.

Greenwood on as sub if losing at 60 mins.

(Edit. We win this, Liverpool win the league)

We could possibly get something from this game. Pressure is all on City.
Not really. City can just do their thing.

Pressure needs to be on our player to react and show they give a shit about staying here. I’d be amazed if they get anything from this game.

I'm heading over to England to watch this, just hope we don't embarrass ourselves.

City are involved in a blow by blow title chase.

We are 6th and struggling with very little to play for but pride.

City need to win.. A draw for us would be considered a great result. That's just the truth..

Expect City to win but something's just telling me Man Utd will do. Probably just the horrible thought of Liverpool winning the league though...

We dont have a poor record at OT under Ole. We lost to PSG and Barca... big deal.

Dunno if Martial should or would start after the last game, but other than that it looks fine.

    Rather this:

    Mata
    Young - Rashford - Martial - Rojo
    Matic - Lingard
De Gea - Romero - Jones
    Lukaku

Priceless... though I don't know what Romero did to deserve that.

Why does the score predictor only let us go up to 5?

    ... I mean ...

Keep Young, Smalling and Matic on the bench just in case we aren't losing by the 70 minute mark.

    Boom!

This has been the funniest/saddest match day thread I've seen yet. But then, the same team that held Barca to 3 at their place gave up 4 to Everton at home.

I'd honestly like to see the kids filling up half the squad, with Rashford, (maybe) Pogba, McTominay, Fred, Shaw, Lindelof, Smalling, Dalot, and Romero. Leave the rest off the roster.

Seriously, though, I don't think putting the kids out there would do too much damage to their psyche provided they know why they are there. On the other hand, the "usual" starting lineup deserves to have their heads bashed in by City, starting with DDG. Give 'em one last chance to show they have something left or write them out of the play.

    De Gea
    Young--Smalling--Lindelof--Shaw
    Fred--McTominay--Pogba
    Greenwood--Rashford--Martial

I'm up for naming the same team. They can show us if they have any pride whatsoever in the shirt and themselves, Ole can show us if he can still set up a decent counter-attacking system. If we lose everyone will internally cheer while pretending to be pissed off.

Think the players are unhappy with the recent string of losses and will try to restore some pride. The animosity with City from last season might help too. I'm not sure the players hate Liverpool more than City. Liverpool and United have not been involved in a title challenge since 08/09.

Just please play the kids. Something drastic has to happen. We can’t go on like this.

Martial is (or probably was) my favorite United player. Right now I want him sent to the Reserves. And many other have to follow him.

I want to see ruthlessness. Ole talked a lot during those last few weeks. Now is the time to act.

Some of those leeches lasted far too long here and if some heads don’t fall after the weekend, then this club really is doomed.

my Brother, my Mam, my Dad, Young (C)
my mate Terence, My Gran, my Grandad, my mate Neil
my 4 year old cousin, my mate Jim

It would be so 2019 United to take a draw from this, lose to Chelsea, not make top 4 and see Liverpool win the title cos of our draw

    Romero
    bailly jones shaw
    Dalot Fred Pogba Darmian
    Martial
    Greenwood Rashford

Young's the weak spot I see, they'll target his side

I think Young's main issue this season has been his inability to link up with his winger, but with a player of the calibre of IRELANDUNITED's mate Neil in front of him he'll have every chance. Plus gran and grandad give us that experience and grit we've sorely lacked in the engine room this season. Confident.

I'd be inclined to name the same team as the Everton line up. They made little effort yesterday so they shouldn't be over tired.

If we don't see an acceptable reaction then drop the lot of them for the Chelsea game.

If these feckers have the gall to actually show up and hand Liverpool the title on Wednesday, my dislike for the lot of them will only multiply.

It's a very strange no lose in some ways.
Win - and we still improbably have a real chance of top 4.
Lose - and we're no wore off than we are today - and we don't gift Pool the title.

A draw is a real arse as it helps nothing.

A draw/win will kill City's title bid. Nothing is worse than Liverpool winning the title, but if we do win/draw I'll look at the bright side of it, that it was us who blew their title bid.

I want to see some fire, some sense of shame from the players. Sweat the shirt thoroughly, that is all I ask for.

Turning up for a big game/derby is easy on the back of some dreadful performances. Its small club mentality.
For that reason I wont be too surprised if we got a result tomorrow night. Thus all but handing the PL title to Liverpool.

I wonder if those cnuts will show Ole their worth. I bet they won't. Hate that game hate Wednesday hate this season hate football

I feel like our players have been so publicly outed as an utter disgrace so now they have no choice but to run until their legs fall off in this one.

They're probably at home right now absolutely fuming over the fact that they have to actually show up and give it their all this time round. Some of them are probably even hoping they don't get starts. Poor sods.
