No it won't be, City currently are on a slight dip in form performance wise, this is a good time to play them. If we win there is a good chance they lose to Tottenham as well. Later on in the year the Derby might be meaningless. If we don't beat them they will remain unbeaten this season.
Good point. I'll grow myself a pair and get a grip.

    What makes you think that?
He wouldn't look at Neville, and I don't mean he wouldn't make eye contact, I mean that he was physically turning his head away from him and looking at the floor and walls. Lots of fidgeting which looked like he was struggling to concentrate. He seemed intense also and likes to focus on one particular thing and then talk about that one thing. All these are tell tale signs of Aspergers.

Again, I'm not saying he definitely has it but as someone that works in education and deals with these things every day, he certainly gave me the impression that he perhaps could have.

It would make sense as well, he seems to take things quite literally and bites easily to negative comments. He's also a very gifted manager and sometimes people with that diagnosis tend to be gifted in what ever area they decide to work in.

Please be a fecking blizzard tomorrow.

Postponed game with Pogba, Bailly and Jones all available would be mint.
That's a good point but I'd love a derby in the snow. T'was a nice sight to wake up to this morning.

Can't believe what I have just read, what a load of BS. English media are the worst.

Hopefully we win, it'll be even more fun now.

I'm not reading that but do you want to give a quick update?

Loads of BS about how a City win will make English football knows the importance of possession and makes children love football more.

This paragraph sums up this article :

It will inspire more children to fall in love with the game, and want to attempt the skills of Raheem Sterling, Kyle Walker, David Silva, Gabriel Jesus, Leroy Sané and Kevin De Bruyne. It will also be a successful advertisement for the power of boxes.

Matic to score his first for the club in this one. Had a dream about it.

    Enlightened principles..

Henry Winter ladies and gentleman. Ill make a prediction that if City fail this year he will make an argument that English football has to change to allow Peps brand to flourish

ESPN have Kompany and Otamendi ahead of our defenders in their combined XI FFS

I would have kompany in the top 5 most overrated premier league players ever. When he was at his best he was indeed very good, that was short lived and even at that was never close to best defender in the league.

The funny thing about the Henry Winter article is that there are zealots in the footballing world that believe every single word of what he wrote.

If anything for the principles he should wish United won, considering we are not oil funded but are a self built club.

The fecking white washing of these lottery ticket winners annoy me to no end.

The thing is we've been here before so many times. Mourinho was the darling at Chelsea first time, conte, Pep, wenger, klopp. British football journalists are sycophantic, predictable boring men for the most part

For the record I don't agree that a country with a dubious human rights record and unlimited spending with dodgy money would necessarily be good for the British game

It just shows how Pep and City are now considered the darlings of media.

Hopefully a win for us now will be even more enjoyable.

It fails to mention that City have a net spend of £300 million more than United in the last 5 years. Even though we had to rebuild after the Moyes fiasco.

I was about to mention that. How can journalists be backing a club that is state backed by Qatar. Especially against a club like Utd with a rich history and a plc that must do everything transparently.

    FFS

Now, what did Jose say about poets? He was dead on, as usual.

The more I think about it, I hope its postponed. Part of me wants it out the way, but if Chelsea were to drop points today, us picking up a few more wins and boosting our confidence would be immense.

Pogba back for it would be a bonus as well. I'm on the fence tbh.

I don't see how anyone can be on the fence about it. Our best outfield player and our best CB would most likely be available if it was postponed.

Fellaini would be match fit as well, for the 3 man midfield we are going to need against Citeh.

How much snow is there in Manchester at the moment? 1 day left - could it be cancelled?

Unless the weather forecast changes, there could be a lot of empty seats. You don't have to be too deep in the wilds of Greater Manchester to be having concerns about taking the car out (and getting home again afterwards).

That said, I think the only grounds for cancellation will be safety concerns around access to the stadium itself. There, oddly enough, the fact that the whole area is already a nightmare of roadworks that have even blocked some pedestrian routes might work in its favour. Less roads left to close, and smaller areas to clear!

The game being called off would be a disaster.

We get a win tomorrow and that could have a huge mental impact on City. It's a huge game at the end of a difficult week for United. If it's called off then it's a huge anticlimax, not just because of the spectacle, but the potential harm we could do on them both in terms of closing the gap and the mental impact that could have.

We don't want to be going into the rearranged derby next year 10 or so points behind. I know it could work the other way and City may drop some points and the gap could be closer, but the rhythm they're in at the moment that's not looking likely. We got a huge opportunity to disrupt that rhythm going into the Christmas period.

The gap is big now, but it's surmountable. This game has to go ahead.

I’d rather just play the game now tbh. Waited all week for a game and then have to sit around and watch home alone 2 when it’s postponed, no thanks.

    Totally agree:

Bailly, Jones, Carrick, Fellaini, Pogba, Matic and Ibrahimovic would all benefit from game being delayed.

That’s an entire spine of our team!!

Yeah, the forecast on metoffice suggests heavy snow for my area and i'm not that far off Manchester in terms of cloud direction (coming from North West). Combination of heavy snow and ice, it's not a case of the stadium being ready (which it will be) it's more a scenario of whether its safe for travelling fans (which both sides will have a lot of). Forecast might be wrong of course, but it's suggesting the heavy snow starts at 4am my area.

I'm not on the fence. The game needs to be played. What if it were postponed and for the rearranged game Pogba, De Gea, Bailly, Zlatan, Martial and Lukaku are all injured? Shall we pray for more snow? Plant a fake bomb as some plank suggested?

We man the feck up and go with what we have.

    Completely agree.

A lot of United fans disagree whether it will be good to postpone the game.

    Mods can add a poll.

Pro: If the game is played next year Pogba and Bailly will be available and Zlatan could be in form by then.

Contra: City will recharge batteries and will probably continue their winning streak. And they will add quality players in January, most probably Sanchez. Playing them in snowy conditions could be good.

Poor old Rio, only guy giving props to Man United, all the others backing City.

    another interesting poll would be

must win vs must not lose.
