Where'd you get the squad?It's all looking a bit dodgy isn't it. I mean Rojo in, Smalling out (injured....or punishement?), Bailly out injured, Martial out...Zero confidence going into this. This season's honeymoon period is officially over and the pre-game foreboding is back.

Yeah I saw it. Second time this has happened, whoever is running his Twitter account needs to wise up a bit.A player with a slight knock/injury may be getting treatment from the physios so he can play and/or having a fitness test and meeting up with the squad at the hotel later today, so that might explain the absence of some players. Maybe not though, it's hard to guess. If Smalling is out, I'd be surprised if TFM wasn't in the squad to cover this. I'm getting dizzy trying to predict tonight's lineup in terms who is/isn't injured and which players might be left out/brought in for some rotation in the squad.
On the one hand, it's the League Cup, not high on the list of priorities, on the other it's also a derby and United need a win. I doubt anyone carrying an injury will play as United can't really afford a slip-up against Burnley and Mourinho will want to play his strongest team possible on Saturday.City will be fired up for this which isn't gonna be good for us.Imagine agreeing to go to a pub quiz somewhere with zero signal/ wi-fi this evening.... Sometimes matches like this can be more exciting than League ones because there are likely to be fringe players out there playing for places and trying to convince Jose/ Pep they deserve to start at the weekend in the PL.
Having said that neither manager will be thinking about anything other than the win. I predict a mix & match on both sides and a goal fest

My bad. I just have too many players I want to see playing and too many systems I want to trial I guess. FixedThis game is very important, not so much because it will keep us in the League Cup, but it might be decisive morally. Remember how the team crumbled apart after the City defeat? I can imagine the opposite effect if we beat them tonight after losing to Chelsea that way. And our next games are apparently easier, the wave could start here. Just hope Mkhitaryan is allowed to ride that wave.Think it will be an open game. City will make changes and we will go with a strong XI. More pressure on Utd to win because we are at home and because of the earlier derby defeat.
