We rode our luck against them at home last year so I have bad feeling we will be brushed aside today. Maybe we can raise our game but it’s just hard to see us scoring enough goals to win as not convinced we can keep a clean sheet.

I was only expecting 4 or 5 points from these first three games, I just don’t have faith in the manager to be able to get any kind of sustainable results and performances from the squad.

If Zirkzee plays I pretty much think you have to play Rashford. We need somebody who’ll stay up the pitch, and somebody who’ll try a pick up space in the box. I’m not sure any of our other wingers do that much.

Yes, that's a horrid combination.

To be fair we would have had two against Brighton were it not for a freak occurrence, and maybe with Zirkzee starting as a proper target man we can come into our own more as a goal threat.

My issue this season has been how we've wilted from 70 or so mins onwards. We lost control of the Fulham game and just about came out on top of a tennis match, then we let Brighton have all the running and got burned late on. The fitness levels need to improve, or we'll be in for some late game agony over and over this year.

On the plus side we managed to get back into the Brighton game after conceding first, so I hope the days of heads going down after conceding a goal and getting smashed are over.

He scored intermittently last season it never sparked him. Besides it’s not his talent it’s his effort. He’s just not intense either attacking or defending. If he was working hard we’d all be much more forgiving.
