This. I'm sure it used to be great when international footy was the peak of footy, but the premier league is a far higher standard now.
Games like San Marino are just a joke. These piddler teams should have to pre-qualify.

That won't happen now they've expanded the Euro tournament to more teams. It's so pathetically easy to qualify now, it's near impossible to fail if you're a seed. Even Northern Ireland are going to qualify for the first time in 35 years for goodness sake!

If it were up to me, I'd go with what worked last time. Take your pick between Carrick, Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin for the deeper role and go with Herrera and Fellaini. Depay takes Young's spot.

Wales on the verge for the first time since 1958 too , the level of football is shocking . Shelvey has made the step up to international football , how is it a step up ? For Swansea he plays against Fabregas , Schweinsteiger , Toure , Matic and the like where for England he plays against the butcher , the landlord , etc .

I was thinking that. They were pretty decent against Arsenal. Plus, when have we had an easy game against the Pool? Last season was probably the easiest we've had in a while, but even then, had it not been for De Gea, we would have conceded quite a few goals.

I was impressed by Liverpool v Arsenal. And not just because of Coutinho. They seemed well drilled and organised. Yep, fecking up against West Ham at home alters that a bit, but it will be a tough game- it always is, regardless of how either team is playing at the time.

That said, I think we'll win this comfortably

The Gomis of the season (so far of course) is a very good player, the best striker in the PL currently. On his day, any player can be a poison. Although I still agree that Blind isn't a CB. He is an intelligent player but the position a certain physical level and concentration he lacks.

Huge match for both managers I think. If we lose two in a row, with one of them being 'pool at home, then pressure will come on Van Gaal. Similarly, if Liverpool are poor again and lose then Rodgers will start feeling even more pressure from the fans.

Not sure what to think really. I can see us turning it on and winning easily, but can also see us struggling and grinding out a dull 0-0 or even a close loss.
