They are getting desperate and pushing forward, if we can get that ball out to Rashford/Elanga/Sancho right from a clearance then we're in
De gea kicking out of bounds is getting annoying
he’s played well but needs to stay on his feet, can’t win every ballBit worried about Dalot. He's played OK so far, but Diaz is going to get him sent off in this second half.
Watching Richard Keys and Andy Gray finding faults in that brilliant performance and seeing Nigel De Jong supporting United! Half the analysis is gone discussing varane foul on Milner for a supposed penalty
After 25 minutes we have started to cheat in our defensive tactics from wide positions. Elanga and Sancho must do little more so McTominay and Eriksen can keep the central area. Otherwise, center back partnership looks good so far. Lets hope it keeps that way. Rashford is playing his best game for about one year with his pressing and movement.
Martial coming on. Wonder who it’s for, Rashy?
Agreed … love the clueless match day lot who come here and rhyme off Bruno this, Rashford that. YawnHe's doing fine, you only press as a collective. No point on your own.
Maguire shouldn't even sniff the starting XI whilst Martinez and Varane are fit.
Elanga has been electric! Has been tormenting TAA from the off.
Martial on.
Elanga scoring and not hitting the post early doors would have made this more comfortableI hope to God we can get a second goal from somewhere, anywhere!
Rashford HAS to press more, he's walking around most of the time, again. No different than Ronaldo. He has to put more pressure on their defenders when they pass the ball around.
Kloop didn't look too happy
Yep. Replace Rashford and Elanga with better quality players and we would have had more control of the game and probably even scored more. Everytime either of them got the ball, they'd lose it and we'd immediately be on the back foot once again.Good performance so far, but you can see very clearly that the team is being held back by some limited players in key positions. What this team really needs is:
1. A centre-forward who can come short and get involved in the play (Rashford replacement)
2. A winger who can run the ball and beat defenders 1 v 1 (Elanga replacement)
McTominay and De Gea are also simply too poor on the ball to play in this system - Casemiro and Sommer (or similar) would be huge upgrades.
