    excelente idea, estoy de acuerdo.

    (long live google translator)

If he loses this, I fear for Ten Hag.

    (a) keeping Rashford as a starter is sheer incompetence and (b) dropping Shaw, Ronaldo and Maguireand NOT moving them on is a recipe for toxicity within the dressing room.

    This may spiral.
He's a good coach not Paul Daniels.

    Who plays instead of Rashford?

What should he have done with the others? (1) we've lost squad depth (2) he doesn't negotiate tfrs out.

    Give him a fighting chance?!

Ill check in with you after the game. I am the same- but I know I will turn it off in temper once their 2nd goal goes in after 8 minutes!

    :(
It's just a weird hunch that I have that we'll see a different United and that Liverpool might not be at their best. Avoid conceding early and the stronger we'll be over the match. I think we'll win.

As you say though, Klopp will absolutely know that the first goal will be crucial and if they score twice we could see the usual collapse and the crowd venting their anger.

I don't see where this is coming from. Ten hag literally said in his post game at Brentford that we need to go direct when we don't have options at the back, and he expects that from his GK.

The pundits ignored that and so have our fans, and made this more of a ten hag style issue!
Yeah there seems to be this narrative that the players are forbidden from ever kicking it long.

ETH even said de gea was wrong to pass short to Eriksen for the second goal and that he should have used that opportunity to go long to beat the press.

People genuinely thinking Casemiro can start? He’s not eligible.

Unfortunately I don’t have confidence in De Gea making the right decisions in situations like the one with Brentford’s second goal.

Looks like Ten Hag might just drop Bruno and play a Fred, Mctomminay and Erikson midfield.

Bruno needs a reality check as well.

I will be happier if we see any one of Iqbal, Savage or Garner - but that is very unlikely to happen!

Just hope we can be strong for once and not wave the white flag in surrender. Plenty of teams give Liverpool a game, it's just pitiful how timid we've been against them.

Lets get the fecking three points.

Liverpool will probably have a midfield of Fabinho, Henderson and Milner.

It’s going to be so obvious all they will want to do is press the crap out of us. We don’t need to worry about anything creative from that midfield.

This is one game where you just have to go direct and long because you will have oceans of space behind their defence. Sancho, Martial and Rashford need to expose that space.

Regardless of what happens tonight they need to run themselves into the ground. Anything less than 100% is totally unacceptable, especially today

That I agree - but i rather hope that he just goes long all game as opposed to trying to pass it short to Erikson who is being pressed.

If we concede another goal like that tonight - you really have to get rid of DDG pronto.

Unfortunately, even as I write this - i dread that this is exactly what will happen. We will be pressed in our own third, lose the ball, and then concede an easy goal

Even if it does not happen in the first 20-30 mins, it will happen sooner rather than later. Our players will forget instructions and revert to type.

I think we lose this comfortably due to the midfield and set pieces.

Brighton and Brentford don't have a creative midfield, they just just pressed our players and won easily.

We need not only to overcome Liverpool's relentless pressing, but also press and run as hard as possible

    That would be unfortunate.

No matter how ETH sets us up, we're likely to be defeated by what will surely be, barring injuries during their warmup, the vastly better side. So perhaps ETH could throw McFred into the pit so the entire planet -- this is one of the most watched sporting matches on the planet, in any sport, every years -- can see for themselves what a disaster they are. But I don't think that will happen.

With Casemito not eligible today, we don't have a proven CDM. We have Garner, but he's not proven at this level. There are no good answers for today, but there are less bad answers. We can either have a go at Liverpool, come what may (such as a 0-5 final score), or we can flood the back with bodies and hit on the counter. I suggest the latter. As shit as Rashford has been the last two seasons the one thing he still has is pace. I'd hate to bench Ronaldo but if he really is the cancer in the squad that's been reported then he needs to be benched.

    De Gea
    Dalot Maguire Varane Martinez Malacia
    VDB Eriksen
    Bruno
    Rashford Martial

This may be a bit too Ole or even Jose for our liking, but today is a chaotic day, the opponent is a cornered animal, and the players we have right now are not adaptable to how ETH wants to set us up. Avoiding humiliation and stealing a point off this Liverpool side would be a job well done.
