Going to this and cannot wait. Jose was spot on about the fans tonight. Very flat atmosphere and the only times our fans sang were about 5 mins straight after our goals and then stopped again. Not good enough and needs to be better on Sunday. I'm sure it will be due to the occasion but it'd be nice if fans didn't need to be begged to support the team. As far as the match goes, I'm uncharacteristically positive about it. Usually for games against this shower I'm a bag of nerves and never want to predict a win but I just feel we'll have too much for them in terms of both quality and momentum. Going for 3-1, hope I'm right because this is must win.

I was pleased he got over half an hour. I thought he'd show more but he looked a bit lethargic.
Showed tenacity for the goal and had a decent shot at goal. Can't really judge him on that cameo. The whole team was lethargic. Won't be surprised if Mourinho throws a curveball and starts Young or Lingard.

We will win. Table will look like this after the game.

    1. Chelsea 49

    2. Tottenham 45

    3. Liverpool 44

    4. Manchester City 42

    5. Manchester Utd 42

    6. Arsenal 41

Man Utd to actually move up the table? What madness is this?

This game is the last game of the match week, so both teams will know full well where they'll end up after the game.

Dropped points from Chelsea/City/Arsenal/Spurs will add that extra incentive to the game.

You're a terrible WUM, I don't even know why I bothered to reply to you.

I'm a wum because I think Liverpool were crap against Plymouth??? And I don't think you'll win against Southampton and United? Ok then.

Massive match with a lot at stake, hope we contain our emotions and put in a great performance.

Come on lads this could be huge for us!!! Getting fired up for this one!

    DDG
    Valencia - Smalling - Jones - Darmian
    Herrera - Carrick - Pogba
    Mkhitaryan - Zlatan - Martial

    Origi - Firmino - Wijnaldum
    Can - Henderson - Lallana
    Milner - Klavan - Lovren - Clyne
    Mignolet

This is assuming that neither Coutinho nor Matip will be fit, although it's fairly uncertain.

Temporarily until Arsenal routinely dispose of the swans :annoyed:
Was actually hoping to jinx it but somehow Arsenal manage to get a result in these kinds of games. It's their bread and butter.

I'm more concerned about our defense. Smalling is going to get exposed again.

United are the favourites according to Bwin.

    2.10 for a United win, 3.30 for a draw, 3.40 for a Liverpool win.

I have no fear of Liverpool at all. If we ignore all the 'that's the results that make you champions' nonsense in December then they haven't performed well for a while.
Only one form side playing on Sunday

Man Utd have "turned the corner" again having won six in a row in the league, now having a chance to draw level with Liverpool on points should they win

Just batter the c*nts, then beat them on the pitch too.

These are due a twatting.. hoping we twat these fecking manc twats

Got no real worries over this, if its officiated fairly. They are enormously flattered by recent results mainly because those games havent been officiated fairly.

A selection of what RAWK is thinking prior to kick-off. I think they show in equal measure, from top to bottom, their poor mathematical deductions, violent nature, astounding vocabulary skills and over-confidence.

    Made me laugh though.

    My preferred lineup:

    4-2-3-1
    DDG
    Valencia Jones Rojo Blind
    Herrera Pogba
    Mkhitaryan Mata Martial
    Ibrahimovic

    or 4-3-3

    DDG
    Valencia Jones Rojo Blind
    Herrera Carrick Pogba
    Mhkitaryan Ibrahimovic Martial

Personally prefer the 4-3-3. Hopefully Rojo will be back (and Zlatan feeling better). Only issue lies with Mata for the 4-3-3, if he starts I imagine it'll be Herrera where Carrick is, and Mata on the right behind Mkhitaryan.

Rooney to be substituted on in 88th minute. Scores flying volley from 30 yards at the Stratford End, runs the entire length of the pitch to celebrate and just stands with his arms out and back to the Liverpool fans (like he did against city after 'that' goal). Christ i'd lose it.

Liverpool are a good side, Utd have to play well to beat them and even then it isn't a given.

3 - 2 United. Rooney (sub) scores with his arse in the 95th minute.

Let's win. Forget about all this taking a draw malarkey and let's get our tenth win on the trot!

Don't know what's wrong with me but I think we'll win. Oh and we'll probably hit the post.
    Nice timing to be positive.:D

This game is 100% going to be won in midfield.

The current form shouldn't have too much of an impact. This is United v. Liverpool and both squads are quality via individuals and how they play as a team. Must be composed and not let the tension get to you. Assuming Carrick starts, it'll be interesting to see how Liverpool press him and Pogba.

I think the team practically picks itself, I'm not totally sure babout LB but I think Mata is in form to start so the two pacey young attackers will be on the bench.

I think Blind will start ahead of Darmian, but it's exactly the side I'd go for. Mata is too crucial to be left out. Yes we'll lack some pace on that right side but I expect Tony V to compensate.

Also, what are the odds of Minge or Karius putting in a world-class performance?

Martial has done enough over the last few games to deserve a spot on the left. I think Mata will again be left out and Mkhi will take his place on the right. I don't like it when both Mkhi and Mata play on the wings together. Both of them will cut inside giving us no width.

I'm a bit curious about how we will approach this game. We can't let Liverpool dominate possession with us sitting back and playing on the counter. They'll just keep attacking until they break us down. We need to take the game to them from the first minute. We have the players to do it as well. I hope Rojo is back for this one as he can handle their pressing better and won't need to resort to long balls like Smalling.

With City playing Everton away, Leicester playing Chelsea away, Arsenal playing Swansea away with new manager and Spurs playing at home to a Tony Pulis side with Utd players like Evans, Fletcher And Foster, there is a very small chance that all teams above us could drop points this week. Even if they do, and we win against Liverpool, we will still be 6th, but we bridge the gap even closer.

All good but I'd rather play Martial than Darmian at left back

Guy is a disaster - you could forgive his attacking if he was solid defensively but the ease with which players like Snodgrass, Sissoko etc beat him is embarrassing

    Blind please at LB

Guess the only question marks are who starts either side of Zlatan. Two spots for Martial, Micky, Mata and Lingard to fight over. I'd personally prefer Martial and Mata.

Ugh I'm nervous. Can't stand the thought that the last 6-7 weeks work might be for nothing if they win.

We will just be 3 points off 2nd place. Doesn't matter if we still stay 6th. We have a run of relatively easy games after the Liverpool game as well. This one game will really tell us where we are headed this season. If we win, we can have a go at Chelsea and if we lose we'll have to scrap it out for top 4. Feeling nervous about the game already :nervous:
