    Happy about the formation and to see Januzaj in the team but unfortunaley no Herrera

    Don't like RVP and Falcao upfront together they do not match simple as that.

    Rather we played liked this:

    Yeah, but the last time they faced us was back in 2004. August in the 98/99 season was the last time they even took points away from us (other than the 5-3) and the last time they beat us was in 97/98.

    Fair to say we can disregard past results.
     
    Glad it is a back 4, but still find it strange having Adnan rather than Herrera. Yet to see Adnan make a tackle so let's see. Still very confident we will smash these.
     
    How is LvG getting away with his calls for unbalance when he plays Falcao, RvP, Rooney, Di Maria & Januzaj in the starting lineup?

    It's not that we have an impossible first XI to balance out, we have a manager who doesn't have the balls to balance it out with dropping some big names.
     

    I saw a fair bit of Herrera last season for Bilbao. He looked very average and has looked very average when he has played for us this season. Just like Kagawa his reputation builds and builds when he is not playing. Just look how abysmal Kagawa has been at Dortmund and for Japan even though many thought he could be our saviour.
     
    Decent stream would much appreciated.

    Can see us taking some revenge today. Attack is the best form of defence.

    For the first time in my life I am starting to gradually lose the excitement for watching us play, this is the least excited I have felt in the build up to a game. This team should be good enough to win today but how can Herrera be dropped again and again. We are playing with no pace upfront again, we have 2 strikers who were once world class but now are both looking past it. We are playing Rooney in midfield where he becomes an average player. We drop Herrera and Mata who are the 2 most creative players we have. We may go on and smash Leicester today but these tactics are wrong and the same sort of thing is being repeated every week even after shocking performances.

    It seems Van Gaal is insistent on playing a team that does not actually have a midfield. Its always Carrick or Blind and the base of Midfield but in reality its just them as an extra centre back or sweeper to keep the 5-3-2 system discreetly in place. They are partnered with Rooney who will be playing as a number 10 and will want to push forward. So who does that leave in CM? Knowone, it leaves us with a big gap and between defence and attack with Januzaj and and Di Maria on the wings who don't know if they are playing as wingers or wing backs. We will play like this until we get desperate and then Van Gaal brings on Herrera or Fellaini or both which then will actually give us some presence in midfield and we start to play better. Just like against Cambridge, just like against QPR and nearly every other game this season. Has there EVER been a top team that has pretty much played without any Centre midfielders? Even if we class Blind as a DM that still leaves him on his own with a striker trying to help out now and then.

    Its the same process every game and Van Gaal doesn't see it. Or maybe he does see it but he just isn't this ruthless manager that he is made out to be and just insists on playing he best mates RVP and Blind, has to play Rooney because he is captain, plays Falcao because of the money we are paying for him and then goes and drops Herrera and Mata because they are the easy targets and wont kick up a fuss, that's how it seems to me.

    Yes I will get slated if we win comfortably today but these issues still remain.

    I can only recall two this season. Play to your audience you bastards (even if I'm not actually meant to get signal for Irish channels).

    They are, but they have picked up form a bit. Remember we stuggled against Cambridge last week and they went to Spurs and knocked them out of the cup. I definitely want them relegated for the debacle at their place.

    I know right? It's bizarre. Completely different to what they used to do .
