So no Valencia, Dalot, Jones, Rojo, Fellaini, McTominay, Lingard or Sanchez? Even if some of those names aren't exactly first or even second choice in their position, the sheer number of absentees does effect us quite badly.

It's likely Jose will want/have to go with mostly the same side that played at Chelsea, but I can't see all of Lukaku/Martial/Rashford/Mata starting if they are the only attackers available. Jose would probably want to keep one in reserve as a game-changer if required. Fred or Herrera replacing Mata or Rashford seems plausible. Otherwise, same as Saturday.

The only starter at the moment is Valencia and Young played 3 times better against Chelsea.

Not too arsed, but we could maybe use Fellaini. Otherwise we should be good. Just give Fred and Mata some game time.

    De Gea
    Young - Smalling - Bailly - Shaw
    Fred - Matic - Pogba
    Rashford - Lukaku - Martial

Play a bit compact, to not give space to Ronaldo and Dybala and hit the counters with Martial + Rashford. A draw would be good for both sides.

If both Lingard and Sanchez are out we'll have only 4 forwards available for this. Can't see us beginning with all of them and have our only offensive option being someone like Periera.

One of Mata or Rashford will be dropped for Herrera or Fred.
Yeah it'll be 4-3-3 or a 2 up top formation.

Wonder if he’ll maybe be tempted to go 352. Close of the space and hope we catch them on the break.
In all honesty we really need to win this game because screw needing to go to Turin or Valencia and get something.

None of those players are serious misses. We can handle it. Either Mata or Rashford will be dropped guaranteed to have an attacking option on the bench and Fred or Herrera will come in.

After hearing the press conference I would choose:

    DDG
    Young Smalling Lindelof Shaw
    Herrera
    Fred Pogba
    Mata
    Lukaku Martial

But I'm sure Matic will play again.

Mata has to play so we can keep and recycle the ball. Besides Juve don't exactly have a fast team so Mata will do fine here. The rest of the team picks itself, Ander will probably start to pick up Ronaldo and deny him from shooting coming in from the left

I'm worried Matic will get the start, even though he needs a rest. Knowing Mourinho as we do, probably this:

    De Gea
    Young Smalling Lindelof Shaw
    Matic
    Herrera Pogba
    Mata Lukaku Martial

Yeah, pretty much what I said/think. However, having Lingard or Sanchez on the bench would be much better than what we're likely to have, and obviously Fellaini is always useful.

Going off your starting 11 with Matic over Fred.

Our bench is likely to be:

Romero; Darmian, Bailly; Fred, Pereira; Rashford and....

Assuming none of the aforementioned unfit players are able to make the bench last minute, one of the youth team. I think our first 11 and a couple of subs are good enough to give them a game, but this is a strong Juventus side we're talking about while we're very far from setting the world alight.

I think this match will be a turning point for the season, if we play good and get the 3 points from the motivation point of view it would do wonders, the players would show themselves that they can compete at a high level. But if we lose then all the negativity and criticism will come back and we will be in shambles again.

Don't know. Have a feeling if we win this we'll go on and drop an absolute stinker against Everton and lose like all the false downs we have seen the previous 5 years.

3-0 united. We’ve shown some good stuff recently let’s just carry it forward.

Early goal with us scoring twice late on after Juve press.

This is a big game for United and we have to hope that we start on the front foot after the last minute disappointment against Chelsea.

We absolutely need to get some confidence and you can only do this by winning.

I also have to hope that the players are now going to play and perform for:
    the manager
    the supporters
    their own pride

Bit worried about Cristiano Ronaldo though. He is still a fantastic player.

It is not 2003 and Giggs has stopped tearing it apart.

    De Gea
    Young--Smalling--Lindelof--Shaw
    Fred--Matic--Pogba
    Rashford--Lukaku--Martial

subs: Romero, Bailly, Darmian, Pereira, Herrera, Mata, Chong.

I can have some hope surely?

We’re capable of a special night why not tomorrow? I can see us winning to be honest

I agree we are definitely capable of winning. But 3-0 to Utd! I don’t know if you were being serious? This is Juventus we are playing, not Yeovil Town.

Diamond would be suicide against Costa/Sandro & Cuadrado/Cancelo

I get a feeling that Lukaku will get dropped for this game with Sanchez playing as the centre forward.

This game is probably the defining game of the season. Win and our current trajectory continues going up and Jose might just be able to turn things around and have a future here, lose and it's yet another false dawn and he's probably out of a job by the end of the season at the latest.

It's not going to be easy, they have the better squad and a team who have experience when it comes to winning.

I'd consider Lingard to be a pretty big miss tbh. It's hard to deny the kid has a knack for big goals and his movement is second to none. He's terrific played through the middle. Mata is great too, but I do feel like his severe lack of any semblance of pace does affect us at times.

    - I know Matic will start but he has been awful for months. All he does is take too many touches and pass sideways or backwards. We won't keep a clean sheet. We should pick the runners and players good on the ball that can break fast.
