    Bentacaur and Matuidi cover ground like nobody’s business. Mata and Matic have no mobility and Pogba is lax at the best of time. Could really be where we lose the battle tonight

    Hoping that we are not be going to be chasing goals and need Chong but on the other hand would be nice to see him come on and get a few minutes and hopefully have a great game.

    I dropped Mata for Fred for that very reason. Thought we might try to get a grip on that midfield but I think the tactic will very much be to release players quickly and bypass it which is where Mata will be useful.

    I thought the same against Chelsea.Kante,Jorginho and Kovacic are up there with Juves midfield...But we did alright at Stamford bridge so I hope we can handle the Juve midfield 3 tonight...

    Agreed. I expected Fred/Herrera to play. We'll be overrun in midfield and will face lengthy spells without the ball. Our best chance will be running at Bonucci/Chiellini on the break on the occasions we win the ball back.

    We thought this against Chelsea but it wasn't too bad. If we play aggressive we can get at their defence.
     
    Nice to see Chong on the bench,doubt he will get any minutes but good to see him never the less.
    Good line up but Lukaku has to start delivering now,cant afford any passengers tonight.

    Kovacic, Jorginho and Kante can cover alot of ground as well.
     
    Not that pumped. I don't care if it's the CL and a big club visiting, I just have no faith in us mustering much of a 'go'. Hopefully I'm proven wrong.

    Also, garnered from this thread = 'United Legend' = someone who never leaves us for another club, even if they're the best player in the world. Pathetic, small-time attitude.

    That said, hopefully Smalling can keep him silent tonight.

    First truly exciting game of the season, imo. Regardless of how we're playing, what state we're in, it's an evening kick off, under the lights against one of the superpowers of Europe. This is what it's all about.

    I watched a video where all but one of the goals Juventus conceded this season came from a Bonucci mistake (lost his man, lost the header, bad pass) so i dont worry too much about Bonucci. Chielini is a monster of a defender though and could make Lukaku look like an amateur (although a lot have done that lately...)

    Good to hear about Bonucci. These defenders are crafty as hell though... hopefully they won't perform tonight..
