Shaw needs to play at some point. Young will be back in for Newcastle next game.We will still win with this, but hope all is well down at farm. PP in the subs, I noteWish Carrick was in the 11 but doesn't fit in with Matic. Matic needs a rest so hopefully in the next game or 2 he gets it.
Happy with the 11 though. People panic too much. Fergie dropped players all the time then put them back in. Dropping a big player after a bad game and winning that sends out a huge message to them and the rest of the squad and you can underestimate the value of psychological messages like that IMO.Lingard is still in the starting line-up, so that is good enough for me!Jones is sick. We had always played very poorly against whatever opponent this season whenever Pogba wasn't in the team.4-2-3-1 with Mata as a RW and Mctminay in a midfield two...hope to feck you know what you are doing here, Mourinho.Awful team.Some of these guys need a good kick up the butt after Wednesday so good to see Jose not afraid to bench/drop them.
Do the business on the pitch and you play - they way it should be.That will teach Martial for not being good on the right wing and Pogba for being unable to play in a midfield 2 against good sides.

Martials been rotated often this season. He's more starter then sub, but still. Not a huge shock considering options we have. Jones/young, I'd rather Shaw plays while Jones had a horror show so naturally rotate that a bit. Pogba is the one big call, but sometimes you have to make those calls.After Wednesday, I can understand it that Pogba is dropped, but I didn't see it happening.
Just hope we teach these upstarts a lesson today - remember how they celebrated at their place, as if they'd won the CL ?

Certainly both are less deserving of a start than Martial and Pogba.
