Not sure if this is the right thread for this, but I'm be in Paris (doing a European trip from Australia), for the Fulham game, any tips on the best places / United fan clubs to watch the game there? (I'm around Canal St. Martin if that helps).

Also if there a thread / place where United fan groups go around various cities?

    Thanks in advance!!

I’m in Chaniá, Crete, and would also appreciate similar advice, if anyone has any to offer.

No chance De Ligt starts and no chance Rashford starts as striker.

Mazraoui could potentially start and I think Rashford will be our left winger. I reckon Amad gets the start and Garnacho off the bench for the right wing.

I haven't been to Paris in 8 years but I think you'll struggle to find any United fan clubs there. I watched us win the 2016 FA Cup at this Scottish pub called The Highlander. It was alright, nothing special but we opted for a British pub to be 100% sure they'd show the United game and not some other European match.

My lads first game at OT - getting excited and nervous now!

    Amad has to start, surely.

Wouldn't Mazaroui be better at LB than Dalot?

    no wumming in the ff
Shouldn't Ten Hag have done a press conference by now?
    Just done

    • Mazroui and de Ligt not expected to feature
    • Doesn't think last season was that bad
    • Midfield of Mount, Fernandes and Zirkzee can work
    • Antony central to his plans
    • Heh
    • De Jong still wanted
    • Amad will need to earn his place

    Ffs this one got me

    Edit: I am drunk

Weirdly optimistic and excited about this game, but at the same time also feel like we'll end sixth in the league.

Did Fulham only play 3 preseason games? I can only see results for Benfica, Sevilla and Hoffenheim which seems a bit low to be properly prepared for the start of the new campaign.

I'm confident here. They haven't really reinforced bar Smith-Rowe, have lost their star CB and their best player in Palinha. Willian has also gone I believe. They have a couple of other decent players but I don't think they should be an issue. Tougher games lie ahead, but I think this will be an easy 3 points. Or at least it should be.

Agree, on paper at home this should be straightforward. However, I was at OT for the 1st game v Wolves last season and it highlighted our season in that one game even though we scraped a win.
Wide open in the middle, toothless in attack and a keeper who won't just have a quiet calm game.

For Fulham, as long as Iwobi doesn't raise his game as he usually does against us hopefully we start this season with a good performance and result.

really is a game we gotta win to get things off on the right foot. This, the CP game, and southampton fall in that category. Allows for wiggle room in the other 4 games to make sure first 7 doesnt see us lose hope ha. Id be good with a win-draw-loss for our first 3 matches and at least tread water for a bit.

Ahh thank you. Yes I've asked a few local French places that looked like they might show it, but didn't get any clear answer / much of a response ... good call on trying a English/Scottish pub, but I was hoping for something more 'local' haha. Thanks for responding anyway!

I think we'll see something like:

    Onana
    Dalot Maguire de Ligt Martinez
    Casemiro
    Mainoo Mount
    Garnacho Bruno Rashford

ETH said de Ligt and Mazaroui will be in the squad and Maguire is available

so probably a back 4 of Mazaroui-Maguire-Licha-Dalot starts

Agreed. Think this will be the exact team.

Happy with that defensive line-up for our first match, though Martinez will need to come into CB soon enough and looked quite suspect at LB against City.

Mount really feels like the invisible man but I’m liking Bruno as the false nine and I’m not sure we really have an alternative to Mount there.

He’ll continue with Rashford but I’d love to see both Garnacho and Amad start.

Baffled at this getting a warning. Seemed to go down well enough.

    You must've pissed someone off.

Really difficult to pick a starting line up, what with the injured, new and walking wounded we have.

I can't fathom why people are picking Amad and leaving out Garnacho, or picking Casemiro and leaving out Mount ?
Hoijland is supposed to be fit, so why pick Rashford and not him?
It’s like you started supporting United yesterday .

If we win tomorrow night we’ll be top of the league, all we need to do is stay there for the rest of the season and we’ll win the league.

I think Garnacho will start, he just seems to be favoured by Eric. Oh what happened to your post?;)
Amad as been to good to drop though. His link up play is quality and will help against low block teams. But garnacho always makes things happen… unpredictable

Think Garnacho will be on the bench, following the Copa exploits.

It’s Fulham at home, we traditionally thrash them, so expecting a comfortable win!

    Onana
    Dalot Maguire de Ligt Martinez

    Mainoo Mount

I’d be surprised if we started De Ligt who hasn’t had much of a preseason and at CB where we have options, and didn’t start Mazraoui who had a full preseason and can play left back, where we have no options.

Onana; Dalot, De Ligt, Martínez, Mazraoui; Casemiro, Mainoo; Rashford, Mount, Amad; Fernandes

    Amad and Garnacho should start.

Rashford should be in the bench since he can't play up top either.

    Won't happen but that's what I'd do

Of all Ineos' shake ups, the one I want to see most is the person who posts the lineup in squad number order, the fecking degenerate.

    We want our club back.

Amad has to start for me. I'd probably bring Garnacho off the bench seeing as he's probably not fully up to speed from the summer. But moving forward Rashford going to be up against it I think.

That just got harder and harder the further I got... :o

    Anyway, my lineup:

    Onana
Dalot - De Ligt - Martinez - Mazraoui
    Mainoo - Casimiro
    Amad - Bruno - Garnacho
    Rashford

All five subs will be used, I figure Mount, Evans, Eriksen, Collyer, and Antony.
