yep, is there any wonder why he does not overlap as much as we would like. You have to have the partnership in your area for all positions on the pitch. Matta is so one/paced as well.Not the best half of football from Michael Carrick that. To be honest, Morgan and Herrera have been the best pairing in my view, I know injury disrupted it, but I'd like to see Herrera restored to the side.I just don't understand how Carrick can at least look competent against Man City but the next game he's complete shite. Without being too critical (and I see where you're coming from I really do) I think they are both great players that are used to playing with team-mates that have better movement off the ball. Whether LvG has trained this out of our players (in a perverse attempt to preserve ball retention stats) or they are just not good enough is up for speculation but … honestly, it's the only possible thing I can put my finger on to identify why these players just can't get it fecking UP!Standard fullback sub.TFM coming on.
