I’d love to see Pogba come back in that forward left midfield slot, and see if he can build on it.
Shaw needs more game time so hopefully a back 4 again.
Derby will be tough. Be good to see a few young players start though.

    Players definitely out:

    de Gea (rested)
    Bailly
    Valencia
    Young (suspended)
    Carrick
    Ibrahimovic

Lukaku and Fellaini fit to return to the squad, I'm more expecting both to be on the bench, but could be wrong obviously. Jose has said he will play a team he thinks he can win the game, but that could mean anything really as he'll say he trusts all his squad. McTominay didn't make it for the Everton game, and with Fellaini/Lukaku possibly on the bench, I can't see him being there for this one either unfortunately. I'd hope Tuanzebe is in the squad and maybe even starts at Right Back. I can see us taking almost the same 18 from the Everton match, but J.Pereira, Fellaini, and Lukaku maybe replacing de Gea, Blind and Darmian.

Axel Tuanzebe might start according M.E.N. Love the guy. Always looks composed and comfortable on the ball.

Derby are an awful footballing team we should win this easily. Rowattis the epitomy of an English football manager of the 80's, ex hard working player, a leader, opinionated, stoic, honest, dour, unimaginative, set in his ways, v neck sweater and Farah wearing 40 something.
He knows how to get points on the board at a certain level and the type of player, formation and tactics to achieve this.
I never enjoy watching his teams and if you look at the value of the Derby side and the dour, win at all costs football they play it's sad to see them doing so well now playing that style of football. Kind of sums it up when he left their best footballer Will Hughes on the bench preferring Bradley Johnson and Joe Ledley and sold him cheap to a Premier League club!

I don't think we'll take any chances by playing a weakened side after what happened with Bristol, Derby are a similar level plus there is no need to rest anyone, the next league game is 10 days away. I think Romero will start though.

    Romero
    Lindeloff Jones Rojo Shaw
    Herrera Matic Pogba
    Mata Martial Lingard

Jose has already said Romero will start.
Lukaku is fit , I think he will start and Fellani will play a part.

One player missing, suppose it's either Jones or Fellaini? Although, no Luke Shaw would be disappointing.

Will BBC be showing any highlights of this?
Says on the BBC Sport website there will be highlights of the United-Derby game on the red button and iPlayer at 10PM.

19:55-21:45, Football - Manchester United v Derby County - FA Cup third round, BBC Radio 5 live sports extra (watch highlights on the BBC Red Button 22:00-22:30)

This is just bullshit why cant they just show it on the red button.

Next match isn't for ten days I think. Can see Jose fielding a strong lineup here with Romero and one youth player.

Definitely. Like Mourinho said, they are a Championship team with Premier League players. I wouldn't be surprised to see Lukaku start.

    Romero
    Lindelof - Rojo - Smalling - Shaw
    Scott - Herrera - Pogba
    Lingard - Lukaku - Martial

I changed my lineup prediction yesterday to this. Mourinho won't want Bristol city game to be repeated all over again I assume.

Expect a PL level lineup . This is ideally the only trophy we could realistically achieve and Jose would not like bowing out so soon.

    Is this not on TV?

but one of us could have played saturday and the other sunday...

I don't know if it's linked to the league cup, and the potential for both Manc teams to have got to the semi and been drawn at home in the first game.

Something alongside Sun to Tue not working, but hey, who knows!
I'm glad it's today, so I can watch tonight. Dreadful for game going fans, but tonight, that's not probably 99% of the thread!

Samuel Luckhurst saying the players who are getting a rest tonight are David, Jones and Matic.
