Pretty much why I wish Amazon Prime had more of the rights than they doI think Ralf will go with his strongest XI to start his reign with a win. He’ll get enough chance to rotate in the midweek CL game seeing that we’ve topped the group. Ronaldo, Sancho, Bruno, Greenwood, Fred and VDB would be our top 6 with Maguire, Lindelof and Telles at the back. No idea who starts between Dalot and AWB
Yep mental how most other countries get access to all the pl coverage at a fraction of the cost we pay for 3-4 games a week.
if the PL had a Netflix like streaming service for PL football it would quickly dwarf the past tv deals they’re living in the past.
For all the local/lower league teams they’ll make a decent amount of cash from this if the billions made from the PL service is funnelled down the leagues which would be part of the agreement to stream 3pm kick offs.
Its a tough one. Because it sometimes feels unfair that I can legally watch PL games here (in Spain) but you can’t watch them in England.
However, it does help keep attendances up, which makes football more interesting. For lower leagues it’s not only about money, but also keeping supporters and getting bums on seats (or hands on rails, whatever).
