Rojo and McNair at full back. Rooney in midfield. Valdes not given a minute. No Shaw, Herrera or Januzaj.

    Confused.

Hopefully that's a 4-2-3-1 and not a diamond. The diamond can be good to watch but has very obvious weaknesses.4-2-3-1 is the formation the vast majority of teams use for a reason, solid all around.

We found them hard to break down last time and created more chances when Herrera was on, yet he goes with Fellaini again. Was hoping I wouldn't have to see Evans again this season as well.

What I'm hoping not to see:

    Di Maria up top
    Three at the back
    Rooney in centre midfield

Seeing as Van Gaal has been playing the diamond of late, it would make sense that Di Maria has replaced Januzaj in that role, whilst Fellaini plays the box to box role, with Blind holding and Mata at the tip of the diamond.

LVG's lineups never make any sense to me at all.

Better be playing Di Maria out wide because those fullbacks aren't getting in behind. Really hate the lack of pace in these teams.

No Januzaj just as he was starting to find some form. Sake.

Like others here I would have liked to have seen Valdes and Herrera.

Really irritated by the presence of Evans

 absolute clusterfeck of a line up.

Yes yes I'm moaning and that's not accepted on here nowadays but it just doesn't make any sense.

I don't understand why we're playing McNair as a fullback (if it's a back four) when we have Rafael and Valencia.... Louis Van Gaal makes insane decisions sometimes.

Still think we'll win comfortably, but just seems like we're making it difficult for no reason.

So are we going to see Fellaini for some absolutely mind boggling reason playing in the wider areas like the last game?

It was only when Herrera came on and occupied those areas we look like we could score a goal.

Rafael just played the whole game for U21s last night. Not sure why we're resting Valencia, though.

Sorry if I missed some comment explaining the situation but where is Shaw?

Don't really like the line up but I'm more than confident that we will win. You wonder where some of the missing players are and what Herrera is doing in training (or what not) that he just can't start a game

Could we not just keep it simple? Play Fellaini, Di Maria, the fullbacks etc in their best positions? Oh, ok. Fingers crossed anyway.

Mata no.10. Rooney up top. DI Maria in midfield. Or is that too much to ask?
