Pretty good half. Still making some horid mistakes - although that early chance for them wasn't so much a mistake as a ricochet that went there way. Need to keep our foot on the gas and hope that Michael Owen's mike breaks - he really is dull!

For this game yes it is. Its a match day thread about this game.Decent half. Similar to the leicester game, we aren't playing too quickly and the opposition are there for the taking really, but we don't seem that arsed about scoring more goals. Just passing it around and then score the odd goal.
We're playing an annoying amount of long balls though and even if it's effective, I don't like seeing Fellaini up top chesting balls down. Di Maria and Mata have done well when they've got the ball, RvP and Fellaini not doing all that much apart from bringing down long balls.
Rojo is class though. McNair done really well as well.
Think maybe it's a height thing?
In any case pleased at the professional performance. No sitting back in the 2nd half either. Need more goals and some confidence building play.

It's actually great to see us play with some arrogance, its been missing for a long time.Not a fan of his but McNair has been immense!Pleased we're comfortable. Weird formation and Rooney is still sore to see, but there's only so much I can complain when two up at half time.

Well it all depends on what your game plan is and why you ask players to do certain things, clearly you have never coached.

I was just under the impression that you implied Fellaini was only good for hoofball but I guess I misunderstood it initially.Please don't sit back, this team needs some goals to get some confidence running through them.Claridge has had an absolute mare. Rooney is clearly on the left.
I think they were always going to struggle coming to our place. As you say the size of the pitch takes it toll if you aren't used to it.

Yeah agree. It's a shame really since it's always good to have players who grew up at the club in the first team. That said, Rojo looks a lot more passionate than most of our players at the moment!
