Ha my mate came back from Canada at the weekend....My mate calls Rooney syrup because of his hair. Stuck in my mind since I've heard it.Happy with being two up but with only one real CM on the pitch in Blind it makes us unbalanced and boring to watch.
I'd like to see us get the ball and use our creative players in the centre of the pitch and give us a glimpse of the much fabled philosophy. Not harsh enough. He's off to a prem team somewhere. He'll be really good for them. But, for the technical game, he's absolutely fecking woeful. Indecision, taking too much time and the general positive thinking is missing. The difference with the guy playing next to him is jarring.That was some lovely interplay between Blind, Rojo, and Mata. We need more of those.There has been more variety in our play than the team are getting credit for. Sure there are the deliveries from out wide but there have also been one touch moves through the middle and good counter attacks. Enjoying this game compared to the weekends.
The execution is perfect, but it is complicated for the striker who is at the end of a full speed sprint.
2-1 me thinks.Jones vs Cambridge compared to Smalling vs Cambridge, it's like day and night. Smalling looks so much more at ease doing 'footballing centre back' than Jones. McNair's been very composed as an attacking right back too.
Pleasing first half. All in all.Paddy McNair playing great at right back.
I hate that we're playing Fellaini up front with Falcao sitting on the bench. Oh well.

Don't get me wrong the ball he played was great and with perfect precision but there was a diagonal ball on the deck with pace on as that move started.
He's better than a lot of PL CBs though, just not up to scratch for United. He had a period where he looked like he could make it, but I think it's beyond time to give up on him now.A bit sloppy, but that's mostly due to players not taking the opposition seriously.
Don't like Rooney on the right though. McNair has done well, but this game doesn't tell us much, positive or negative.Very weird half, it was like ping pong for the first 20 minutes with the crosses flying from side to side, two good goals though and McNair, Rojo and Di Maria have played well.we are winning 2 nil after a shaky start , just be happy
I am, I am, some good football actually. I'd be more excited seeing youngsters do this though.

Now this is more like it. This is what I want to see when we play against League 2 opposition. We started off nervously, but once we got into our groove, we've been in total control of the game and created some great chances as well.
McNair's showing that he's having a field day playing as a right back. He's shown himself to be good on the ball, and he's done fairly well in his passing and movement.
I also like how we're quite fluid in our game. The players are interchanging positions seamlessly, and everyone's getting involved everywhere, pretty much. It's strange seeing us in a 4-4-2, though, as there were several situations where we needed a midfielder in the hole to complete the triangle and create some chances through the middle.
Overall, not too shabby. I just hope we don't let Cambridge into this.Get Wilson on please.Has Rooney's last goat been at Arsenal?
