It used to be the same with Valencia and Nani. Valencia plays like shit all the time but still gets picked. Nani finally gets a run of games and is immediately dropped after a bad performance.

Bailly in with Maguire is massively surprising. Especially with Bailly off to the AFCON soon and Maguires shite performance. I know Varane was no better, but I'm guessing he's only on the bench because they don't think he can play so many games so soon after injury.
Van De Beek must have decided he's off, if not before this game, then certainly now. If he can't get a start in these circumstances then he is obviously not impressing in training.
