It is weird. He’s 37 with the body of a 27 year old and he’s the only reason we aren’t in a relegation scrap.
And being a GOAT, he actually has to play all games, not to be rested

Rashford, Greenwood to come on when we need a goal at the end.
    This hurts my head

Gonna be really narked if Burnley look fresh for their enforced break, whilst we were caked in rust for the Newcastle match.

Slightly different circumstances I know, given we actually had the COVID outbreak and Burnley didn’t ever have to close up, but we need to be on top and in control tonight.

Are we going to huff and puff to a 1-0 today?

Also worth remembering that the match being at 8:15 might be too late for some primadonnas who can't train till 5:00. Ominous music begins to play...........

I can't say I'm enthusiastic about the game, but I'll be watching and hoping and praying for a better performance than whatever the hell Monday was.

I just want to see us 3-0 up at half time or something. It’s been so long since we won a game convincingly. Even the Leeds 5-1 was 1-1 in the second half and the Newcastle 4-1 game was a tight 2-1 until the last 10 mins.

What am I looking at?

After the game ended on monday i felt kind of done with football for a while. Needed a break from the horrror show we currently call football. But i know i am going to watch tonight as i always do. Not sure why. Can we suddenly morph into a cohesive unit so short after a game where we could not be more disjointed?

    Shit man. This is good.
    I quite like this.

    This should become the norm!

This happens with me every single time, even if I try to keep my self distracted from football, I come back waiting for our next game to start and live on a hope to watch better football if there is any. Torture.

That format might catch on. #bookmarkedforposterity

Surely we won't play as bad as we did against Newcastle. Missing the two games cost us any momentum we had built. The two week plus layoff hurt, we looked like a team that had not played or trained in over two weeks. I fully expect a response today and a comfortable win.

Ahh, so long Donny. Hopefully he gets a move in January.

Decent team. Addition by subtraction in most cases.

Right-back will be an issue no matter which of the two we choose.

Maguire an obvious issue, but Lindelof out and Varane presumably can't play twice in a few days.

Midfield...Fred's been our best midfielder, but I get the McT/Matic pairing for the height against Burnley. Also nice to have a proper holder in Matic, albeit a slow motion one.

Best front 4 we could play right now.
