Agreed with the first part but not sure what Amorim can do. He could play Amad at RWB but he is our most dangerous attacker so it makes sense to use him as one of the AMs.

We could try Antony there but most fans think he is a terrible player. We don't have any players who can play LWB.

Unless we back Amorim with 3-4 new players his hands are pretty tied with team selection. Couple that with the fact we only have a handful of players who are good enough for a top 6 team.

At the time EtH tried to make out that DDG's inability to play out from the back was what was holding us back. Then Martinez was injured for most of last season, so that was seen as the reason we still couldn't build up from the back.

In reality, EtH just didn't know how to coach a team how to do that in the EPL, where every team has good players and press like mad

While you're right the squad is a state and Amorim is unfortunate he had to come in mid-season, he won't be allowed to just be relegated, and unlike you I think that is a possibility on our current trajectory. The last 10 mins against Southampton masked one of the worst performances I've ever seen, against a truly terrible team.
