I’m not convinced by De Ligt and Yoro as wide centre-backs – they don’t seem like the best fit for those roles. Similarly, I’m not keen on Mazraoui and Dalot as wing-backs, especially when they’re both starting together. Overall, it feels like quite a cautious lineup. That said, fingers crossed we can still come away with a win!

Good decision to play Yoro again. Every defender has a bad performance especially a young centre back trying to learn a new position. Hopefully he bounces back with a good performance today.

Yoro should be less exposed this game with a more defensive minded wing back on his side. Hopefully he takes confidence from being given a start again and can put in a good performance. I guess he feels Martinez needs a rest so he's not starting.

I'm a little concerned about the CMs as they weren't great the other night and seemed fatigued. Can't imagine that improved much between then and now but hopefully I'm wrong.

Correct choice to start Zirkzee today.

Tbf, Soton have played well on the few occasions I have seen them. Their expansive football tends to bite them on the backside though because they don't score many and they leave constant gaps in defence.

It also comes with a lack of pace as no one in that team looks ideally suited to run beyond Zirkzee. Ideally, with him in the team you want at least one attacking wing back and a runner from 10.

I have to disagree. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen an out-of-form team put in a strong performance against us – it happens far too often. There are still moments where we’re far too easy to play against, and that’s something we need to address urgently.

And its not like having so many defensive players has actually helped us defensively, we've conceded 9 goals in the last 4 games at OT!
