    Zirkzee has been far better than Hojlund and has made a big difference today. He's simply a far more talented player. Hojlund stylistically fits Amorim more, with the issue being he is a Championship level player, not a premier league level player. So who gives a feck about style at that point if he's just a bit shit.
     
    Given what Totenham are going through, a win here would be so huge in taking that pressure of relegation talk off us. We have to find a way to win this.
     
    The lack of a second threat from the left is really showing. Feels like it’s Amad or nothing.

    Knocking it back across goal takes the keeper completely out of the equation.

    It's time United do something about this. We are constantly getting fecked by the ref. Time to adress it Klopp style. Joke decisions
     
    Not a great half yet again at OT.

    - Typical start from us, giving a goal away.
    - Some decent football after that.
    - After the equaliser, we stopped playing.
    - Brighton look as though they have another goal in them.

    And, more finally, we look so boring at times. Need some exciting play to wake up the crowd. And me!
     
    I think we've played well in a real tight game. Defending for the goal was poor and Maguire should've put us 2-1 up. The next step in our build up is to have better long passing from CBs and midfield. It wouldn't surprise me if Licha comes on at some point. Our wide play is still an issue with Dalot basically killing any attacks that go from his side apart from one where he actually took his man on.

    Zirkzee has shown what a good holdup striker offers. Amad has kept up his form, should've gotten Mitoma booked. Bruno has done ok, Mainoo a bit anonymous. At this point you just want more precision from the players that are out there, because that's where Brighton are much better than us. Maybe one of Hojlund/Garnacho for pace in the latter stages of the half.

    Bollocks. His performances last season were really good and he's had a great Euro tournament with 19. It's just that this season he seems out of form and also not really suiting this system.
     
    Obviously susceptible to the break, but we've played alright, much better than Southampton, which isn't hard. Just keep on going and we can win this.

    I agree that he’s an odd fit and was always an odd buy. I think the price attracted us more than the profile. He could be very good in a team with elite wingers. Similar to Firmino at Pool. But we don’t have goalscoring wingers and now we don’t even play with wingers so he’s even more of an odd fit. I think he’s playing more so due to Hojlund being terrible lately.

    We need someone to run in behind and no one has been doing the at other than Dalot. Teams is stacked with players who want to be behind the ball.

    +1 to Garnacho, but not for Dalot who has been one of our better players. Either Amad to RWB and Garnacho as a right sided 10, or Bruno drops back and Garnacho on for Mainoo.

    We look better in build up but Zirkzee isnt a striker and is shit in the box. We need a striker. I like Zirkzee but he needs a striker in front of him or as a partner. Gyokeres would be the dream.

    And bringing a team mate + defenders of the other team in the position to make a mistake/saving tackle. Again, clear of defenders 5 meters away from goal.. there’s a time and a place for everything, this was not it for me.
     
    Another game of a ref deliberately trying to sabotage Manchester United. When is the club going to call it out, gets more blatant with each game.
     
    Brighton usually tire later on the in games, so hopefully we can take advantage.

    That's the fault of our bad recruiting, not his.

    He is going through growing pains. Let's wait and see how he comes out of it before writing him off.

    what changed with Zirkzee is he is using his big size and strength, added some steel to his hold up play and also fighting spirit, liking what I see and hopefully he keeps it.
     
    In the first half, there was a pivotal moment when Zirkzee dropped deep, held up the ball brilliantly, and laid it off to Mainoo—an ideal opportunity for our inside forwards to exploit the space in behind. Unfortunately, both Bruno and Amad were static, preferring the ball to feet, which left us without any penetrating runs to stretch the defence. This is exactly why we looked so dangerous in the 4-0 win against Everton—Rashford was constantly making runs off Zirkzee, providing that crucial movement in behind.

    In the second half, I’d shift Amad to right wing-back, where his creativity can still influence the game. To inject some directness and pace in behind, I’d bring on Garnacho as an inside forward, replacing either one of the centre-backs or Mazraoui. This change would give us the pace and off-the-ball movement we’ve been lacking to hurt Brighton's high line.
     
    We are Far better than v Southampton.
    We have pressed better and closed spaces.
    Brighton go into 5-4-1 low block when we are in possession. Weve still had a couple of chances. It will be a tight game. .

    I genuinely can't believe that the refs are getting worse and worse for every of our matches they're officiating.
