Would like this lineup, or putting Bruno at CM and Garnacho in that spot so you have two runners off of JZ.Onana

Antony Collyer Ugarte Dalot

We should abandon the 3-4-3, but he won't, so I guess I'd play this:
................................Zirkzee.................................
..............................................................................
...............Bruno.......................Amad....................
..............................................................................
Dalot...........Ugarte.........Collyer....................Maz

A win in this one would be a huge step in the right direction and would bolster any chance of finishing near the top half. They're on a good unbeaten run, though. I don't have much confidence.
Sane post. Are you lost? They haven't won much recently either, so wouldn't be rocking up with a lot of confidence. Plus they've dropped a lot of points this season after leading in their games.
Pre-Amorim, I'd have said that conceding first would end the game for us. But I wouldn't be surprised if it's a hard fought 2-1 win after Brighton score first.
But the overreaction to yesterday's game is crazy. No, a team of amateurs wouldn't have done better against a PL team playing with pretty much nothing to lose at this point.
Ffs, not this again. We didn't have players for 4-3-2-1 either, or 4-3-3 for that matter, so utterly stupid to revert back to thatWe do not have the right players for a 3-4-3, that much is obvious. We're trying to force square pegs into a round hole.
Besides beating Ipswich most recently, their league form has been pretty poor for a while. 0 wins in 8 games prior to that, including draws with Leicester and Southampton and losses to Fulham and Southampton.
We do have a chance to win it. So much will depend on how much energy the team can bring. If we are constantly a bit behind the play like vs. Southampton they can punish us. Hoping the midfield in particular brings a lot more energy.
How the hell did you get that from what I've written? That eight game winless streak was Southampton, Fulham, Leicester, Crystal Palace, West Ham, Brentford, Villa, Arsenal. That's mostly midtable or lower. So you’re saying they’ve just faced tougher opponents recently? Old Trafford must be one of the easiest fixtures in the league at the moment

Do you think we have the players for 3421? Our squad is built for 4231 but the players are not good enough. 3421 is an even worse fit wo any wingbacks.Ffs, not this again. We didn't have players for 4-3-2-1 either, or 4-3-3 for that matter, so utterly stupid to revert back to that
Not 100% sure that 'our squad is built for 4241' and 'our players are not good enough' (for it) make sense in the same sentence.Do you think we have the players for 3421? Our squad is built for 4231 but the players are not good enough. 3421 is an even worse fit wo any wingbacks.
We were mostly playing 4231, that is a fact, and we were poor. We are also poor in 3421. Better defensively but would look better going forward if we had proper fullbacks. Not 100% sure that 'our squad is built for 4241' and 'our players are not good enough' (for it) make sense in the same sentence.
Of course we'll look better when we get the full / wing back situation sorted - but with no real left back for so long that's been the case regardless of formation. I think Amorim is doing the right thing - long term - by getting his intended style in place right away, and being able to work out exactly what we need by the summer. We were mostly playing 4231, that is a fact, and we were poor. We are also poor in 3421. Better defensively but would look better forward with proper fullbacks.
No, but hiring a manager mid-season, who is known for being stubborn regarding his tactical set up and try to force him to revert back to a formation which hardly pulled up trees either, just to maybe (unlikely) get a short-term gain result-wise, would be the stupidest move in the long line of stupid moves the club has made since Sir Alex retired. I genuinely can't believe this is a discussion at all, it's like a lot is suffering from a tactical Stockholm syndrome. Atleast call for Amorim to be sacked instead if it's so important to get back to the "comfortable" 4-2-3-1.Do you think we have the players for 3421? Put Collyer next to Casemiro and we would be fineMainoo and Ugarte both need a rest.
Problem is, Casemiro and Eriksen are both terrible.

So 4231 is a Stockholm syndrome, but 3421 is not?No, but hiring a manager mid-season, who is known for being stubborn regarding his tactical set up and try to force him to revert back to a formation which hardly pulled up trees either, just to maybe (unlikely) get a short-term gain result-wise, would be the stupidest move in the long line of stupid moves the club has made since Sir Alex retired. Great postA win can can move Man United up to 11 place in the table and hopefully a win to honour the late great Denis Law.
When Casemiro takes to the field with a blindfold it's you I'll blame.Under no circumstances should Casemiro see the pitch tomorrow.
I've just given up expecting anything from this team. After the Southampton game during the week, it's hit home that there's not one single Premier league fixture that this current team can be confidently predicted to win. Not one.
Expecting another struggle at home and a defeat ranging from anywhere between 1-2 to 0-3 depending on how shit we are and how clinical Brighton are.
I feel a bit sorry for Casemiro in a way because when playing alongside Ugarte this season, he did put in a few good performances.Under no circumstances should Casemiro see the pitch tomorrow.
This is the line up I'd go with also. Ugarte and Mainoo looked knackered against Southampton so a rest would do them good and having 2 runners playing behind Zirkzee will get the best out of him.————————Onana————————

2-1 us with big Z allowing runners off his deep hold up and outlet play!

I'm saying they have been drawing with teams that will get relegated and have lost twice to midtable teams. We are also a midtable team, so no reason we can't win the game.
I Have no problem with him looking at it, I just don't want him setting foot on it!Under no circumstances should Casemiro see the pitch tomorrow.
