From what I've caught so far Brighton don't look that great. We just need to keep going and pile that pressure on.
They haven't needed to be great, our press is piss poor and leaves gaping gaps down the sides and behind our players so it's easy for them to play out from the back and our press.

I want Wellbeck back just to stick him on the bench and he can stop raising his game against us.

I genuinely think we might not make top 4 this season. We haven't played well throughout a single 45 minutes of football, let alone 90
Accept it now, I’ve been under this impression after watching the pre season. We’re taking a step back this year for sure but it might just be necessary to sort out the shit show we are

Some positives but we don't really have the luxury of taking positives with how we've started the season. We need points

Started well but faded a bit after the goal. Rashford is good and bad in equal measures. He's so lazy with his pressing and it pretty much makes it useless for anyone else to press upfront. Mct has been anonymous and didn't track back well for the goal.

We need to have more threat from the right to stretch them a bit.

I can forgive any of Rashford's flaws, but I can't forgive his laziness. Unless he has a heart condition, there's no excuse.

He's by far our most dangerous player but his work off the ball when Brighton have possession has been shocking. Just watch him during the attack that led to their goal because that shit was baffling.

That image is infield, it's not in line with the post, so I'm not sure how it can be used.

THere should be no excuse of losing to this severely depleted Brighton at home.

I'd seriously start doubting EtH if we even draw on this.

how can you? We don’t have our wingers, he’s being forced to play mctominay, Varane is injured and Casemiro is playing like he’s drunk every week, but there’s nobody else to play there, because Mount also got himself injured.. it’s a joke, but the manager can’t prevent half the team being either injured or out due to personal reasons

Midfield is losing us the game as usual. Casemiro and McTominay both atrocious. Hopefully Amrabat can save our season.

Maybe I'm a bit biased as the goal would have benefitted us but for these inconclusive cases I really wish they would give advantage to the attacking team. The number of times there are millimeters in it and they overrule the decision is irritating.
It was out. There was clear grass between line and ball. Probably the frame after that pic.

I know football is tribal but the bias is actually insane sometimes, people are denying reality that's right in front of them. It's clearly out.

Do you guys not remember when this exact thing happened in the World Cup, and while it looked out from side views, from a top-down view you could see how the ball was actually in?

There's a very good chance that ball wasn't completely over the line from a top-down perspective. We basically got screwed because VAR doesn't have the proper viewpoints for situations like this.

How does Rashford both look so dangerous yet so incompetent so often. Also why can he never place a finish, it's always smash as hard as he can. Infuriating player. Their RW winger showed Rashford how it's done for the Welbeck goal, no tricks no stepovers, just play the ball into a dangerous area and it's 1-0.

Reguilon looks so much better than Shaw but I'm not surprised by that at all.

Shooting to the Stretford End so let's go and bloody win this!

We need to move on from Casemiro as soon as next year. We will get very good money from Saudi Arabia if we are proactive. The fears that some of us raised when he was signed are slowly being confirmed. He is done as a top tier footballer.

We also need to start phasing out Bruno. The whole idea of playing Bruno was his production which masked his significant deficiencies as a midfielder. But his production has fallen off a cliff for two years now and there is nothing left.

We can't continue getting overrun in midfield almost every game. Every midfield that shows even a little bit of intent to play literally runs rings around us.

I see green between the ball and line.

But the real question is whether you'd see green from directly above, not the side, as if even the spherical part of the ball that's off the ground is on the line then it's in. There was a similar clip from the women's world cup I think where you could see green from the side but when they showed an angle above it was clearly still in.

We can't translate positive starts to goals. And just like against Arsenal, we're losing by fine margins. Ever since taking the lead all Brighton have done is keep the ball and the game is passing us by. We can't apply a high press with Eriksen and Casemiro in the team and are relying on Brighton's mistakes to get the ball, of which there are few. It's a frustrating watch and I could see the team fade away as they chase shadows. But we've got enough quality in the team when we do have the ball so the hope for a turnaround remains.

Rashford needs to work on his pressing badly. Every time Brighton escape the press it’s because of him ball watching and losing his man or through sheer laziness in closing the space. Making it so easy for them.

What on earth do we pay McTominay for. No effort to get back for the goal - might have mattered, but contrast it to how the Brighton players bust a gut to get back. Such a nothing player in games like this.

Chuck Gore, Mejbri or Garnacho in for McTomjnay, can't remember a footballer so obviously frightened by the thought of playing for Manchester United.

Can't score enough goals and now we can't defend.

    Casemiro looks done unfortunately,

Second game in a row where we leave players running in the box. our two experienced midfielders at fault.

If we lose this game with everythig else going on its a crisis

Is that the standard EtH set here? Sancho must be really shit if he can't reach those supposed "standards".

Also no one can tell me Lindelöf is a better CB than Bailly. He's as soft as he was 6 years ago when he signed. Feckin weak CB.
