We created twice as much chances as they did, played 11 balls in their box and they only had 2 or 3 in our box.
    But they lead 1-0.
We really really need to start putting games to bed early

Unlucky half really, they’ve not done a lot. Need a bit more quality but I think the changes have improved us, if they keep going in the second half I think we get a result here. Pleasantly surprised by Regulion.

Still could come back into this. We are quite dull to watch, though.

    Refereeing has been... questionable.

Absolutely terrible first half. No patterns of play and just totally dependent on a moment of brilliance from Rashford.

ETH hasn't improved us one bit after spending 400m. We still just look like we aren't coached. Just a bunch of players thrown together at the last minute.

We need to get service into Hojlund. Only got around the back of them once really. Too much dilly dallying about around the box like a pound shop Pep team. We have crossers in the team. I am not saying go full Alexander-Arnold but, with a big lad up there, test them.

Is Rashford a princess or something? 0 pressing today from him, completely throws the pressing of others in the bin.

3 mins with a var ruling and head injury, what happened to the new added time rules?

Out or not, this and Garnacho the other week is just damn bad luck. Could have just as easily been a few millimeters the other way and both games look different.

It's not, but it's also clear that they don't have enough camera angles available to make sure that VAR is 100% accurate to determine every decision like they currently do.
Then it defys the point of VAR. If they don't have the angles to prove the on pitch officials wrong then any decision they have made should stand.

Midfield is so static. No energy, no press. Nothing. I don’t think We deserve to be behind. We are better team but We are playing stupid. Casemiro needs to be taken off in half time. Shockingly bad.

We have been the better team, unlucky to be behind. Our midfield is incredibly poor though, Casemiro looks to have aged poorly.

The press is ineffective, Brighton have dominated the ball for long periods, taken the steam out of Utd. Quite threatening when they finally get the ball but the shape isn't working to disrupt them, so try and get some width out there.

Garnacho/Pellistri for McT seem the obvious change, Scott had struggled to get in the game, playing a tucked in right side position and it hasn't worked.

feck VAR. It forever ruined celebrating a goal.

We haven’t been bad, but yeah ..

The crowd could help put some pressure on brighton when they’re playing out from the back and they’re not.

If we lose this game, I seriously don't kn9w what ETH does in training. Zero chemistry, bad pressing from the front, can't defend. We cannot get our basic right week in week out. Always conceding early at Old Trafford. Onana might be good with his feet, I am not convinced with his hands and positioning. He is suppose to transform how we play but there is little evidence in this season.

It was out, there was a clear line of green that you could see it was out
There was also grass on the goal given in the world cup.. that was given because they had overhead pics to show whole of the ball hadn't gone out, so VAR must have the same camera to deem it out . Its just how things are going at present..

Need another come back like against forest!! Wish we’d stop going behind in games! We need to start going ahead in games and finishing them off!

I know football is tribal but the bias is actually insane sometimes, people are denying reality that's right in front of them. It's clearly out.
The curvature of the ball should also be taken into account as per the rules - so it should be also examined from the top via VAR. But in this instance, it was out. It was the right decision.

Is Rashford a princess or something? 0 pressing today from him, completely throws the pressing of others in the bin.

Yeah, there's a reason Brighton play out to his side. Everyone does, honestly.

That's clearly touching the line. An overhead viewpoint would confirm that the ball would be covering some of the line due to its spherical shape.

Its like people have forgot the Japan game in the WC already.

"Clear and obvious error" that picture and the additional context of that Japan incident means that it is neither.
