Obviously there is a meltdown now. But let me put some balance amongst the extreme views.

1) Our attack at the start was good. We managed to find spaces and players were moving forward well. However this changed once Brighton did not allow Eriksen any space to make passes, resulting in Rashford and Sancho being unable to make any contributions.

2) Our defence has been quite solid, especially Maguire and Martinez. Dalot and Shaw can do better with their positioning and passing but otherwise they have been alright. Problem with the 2 goals happened when the midfield lost track of the ball completely, resulting in a quick counter attack.

3) Fred has been fine but he is unable to perform due to the overall defensive workload falling on him. Most of the attacks happen due to McTominay losing possession which in turn is because he is crowded out by Brighton's midfield immediately.

4) Brighton's compact midfield shape is causing alot of problems. ETH will need to switch McTominay out for Garner and there should be a better balance. As for attack, we will need the players to be more compact rather than than occupying the wings with no options to pass.
