So other than De Light this how we used to line up last season?

Not sure how much has changed but I guess we shall see

Missing the first 30 mins, so hopefully we've entered the game by then

Could care less about the lineup anymore. Counting down to his firing.

Stupid rule that us in the UK can’t watch 3pm matches on TV. I won’t be using my Saturday afternoon watching some shit lower league team in the stadium, so what’s the point?

I'm yet to be convinced starting Rashford, Hojlund and Garnacho together is a good idea. None of them are creators and look to take a shot first. Hope they prove me wrong but I said the same against Tottenham too.

Want to start Rashford and Garnacho then have Zirkzee between them who can drop deep and try to play them in.

Want to have Hojlund up top then have Amad or Antony(shocking I know) who look to atleast pass to the striker.

It's what I would have liked anyways.
On current form I don't think any of Rashford, Garnacho, Hojlund, Amad, Zirkzee or Anthony would get a start in a City, Pool, Arsenal or Chelsea team. Our up front options are basically mince.

Throughout the last decade or so, irrespective of how bad we've been, I've always had an opinion on what I'd wish for the lineup to be, the profile of player I'd want on the pitch etc. Now I have no thoughts on any line up whatsoever. Just a much of a muchness, regardless of who's picked.

Why doesn’t he try Zirkzee in Bruno’s position with Hojlund? Bruno so off form it’s madness not to drop him

Does anyone know if Eriksen play most of Denmarks games? If he did, then he will be gassed even earlier today.

Yeah obviously they don't. But that was not the point I was making anyways. It was only about how to make best use of our existing options. Hopefully they prove me wrong and show they can work together but I can't see it.

I understand why we play Rashford and Garnacho together but I look forward to the day when they have to compete for one spot and we have a more complementary option on the right. It’s good to have a player that will take risks even if it means they sometimes lose the ball, but two wingers like that means possession is never controlled and it becomes difficult to pin the opposition back for extended periods. Instead we’re back to hoping for a moment from one of them.

Umming and arring on whether to watch this game..
J Evans again . Fletchers boy on the bench ..

Last thing he needs is a new media circus resulting from dropping his captain for form.
He needs to change something if he is going to turn things around.

The personnel from last season hasn’t changed, the formation are still the same and I am guessing the tactics are the same too.

Big day today a win would be great but has the unfortunate side effect of continuing to set the club back as any win buys ETH a substantial amount of time even though it shouldn't.

A draw is useless and an awful result considering where we are.

And a loss or battering is terrible considering where we are but as it increases the chance ETH will be fired so would be good for our long term future.

Ideal scenario for me is we win and sack him straight after and even though other clubs aren't afraid to sack managers after a win we clearly are so unfortunately us winning buys him time.

Yeah, the rule makers are still living in the past. Hopefully they move into the 21st century soon so we can watch the games we want legally.

ETH confuses me. Asks for Antony because of his profile being needed in the squad, plays him through all sorts of bad form, when we were playing mostly counter attack. But drops Amad at any given chance despite him being that same profile he wanted Antony for (but actually half decent) and our best spells of possession coming with him on the pitch.

Wants us to control games yet plays a front 3 that all run in behind. Wants us to be more physically robust but plays the two midfielders with the least legs in the whole squad. Make it make sense.

Not that hard to get around it though, let's be real.

Considering ten Hag frequently used Weghorst in that position, it's surprising he hasn't yet experimented with Zirkzee, especially given Bruno’s dip in form, as you rightly pointed out. It seems like the perfect opportunity to try something new and get more out of the team tactically.

Yeah. A shame as I felt it was improving with Garnacho this season but he has reverted to type with his selfishness. I remember that moment against Aston Villa where he was surrounded by 2 or 3 players yet took a shot and refused to pass to Hojlund who was in a better position.
Yep. Why any striker would want to play for us, I've no idea. Unless they are a big name with a big reputation (Ibra, Ronaldo), we give them absolutely zero service at all. We make every striker who plays for us look like absolute shit.
