Michael Oliver is openly a Newcastle fan and his bosses expect him to be impartial when reffing the teams around them? Someone make that make sense please?
Had no idea about this

Are you joking, apart from a couple of games, when he was OK, he has done nothing to warrant a start or even the bench.Sancho
Can clubs file a complaint about this sort of things?Michael Oliver is openly a Newcastle fan and his bosses expect him to be impartial when reffing the teams around them? Someone make that make sense please?
We need a good win here to set up the last portion of this hectic season.

That is not how I would describe McTominay at all, do we watch the same game? McTominay hides and offers nothing. Aerial prowessSabitzer and Fred against Brentford? Please God no. Brentford will just ping high balls into midfield and win everything if we do that. Like they did in the reverse fixture when we had Fred and eriksen in midfield.
I would go same side but Mctom instead of sabitzer, like him or not we will need his Physically, aerial prowess and aggression in this one.
I would pick Heaton ahead of De Gea aswell could do with a keeper who will command his area with Brentfords known direct and physical strikers. But that probably won't happen.
He has been better at doing feck all!
That’s a great story, were you paying £1000 a year for that one game a week? Not every Utd game is on TV.
I remember the days when there was just ONE live game on a week. That’s one game live from all the games played in the country.
I think many fans nowadays would have very depressing lives if that was the case nowadays.

Tom Heaton over De Gea as well.
There is basically no team in the PL that you'd be sure to walk over even the bottom ones. And Brentford been doing pretty well this season imo. It also depends on how much the refs and Var would like to feck us. For example if they decide to feck us as much as against Southampton then it's basically impossible for us to win.The fact we're worried about the ref against fecking Brentford says it all about how bad our form is.
The thing about this is that midfield is not just about individual quality, it's about having players with complementary strengths and weaknesses, it's about having a balanced unit.People going on about our midfield as if that is the excuse for us not possibly winning tonight. Is Brentford’s midfield thst amazing? Would you want to buy any of Brentford midfielders to make ours better? Just curious
Yes i get that and agree with it all but every game we play and get out fought and out run by supposedly inferior teams our players midfield quality gets brought up, mctominay is shit, Bruno is shit, Fred is shit, sabitzer is useless, if we lose it will be Erikson is too old, Casemiro is off the boil. It comes to a point when it must come down to something else when we are constantly out fought and out battled. Newcastle midfield had longstaff and Joellinton? You can’t tell me they are better either side of that midfield than anyone we could play there even if they did have a dedicated dm between them. I don’t know, I just think we rely too much on and blame player quality. Fair enough in the big games but not when we’re struggling against supposed lower teams. The thing about this is that midfield is not just about individual quality, it's about having players with complementary strengths and weaknesses, it's about having a balanced unit.
For an incredibly stupid example: if you had a Bruno-De Bruyne-Musiala midfield, it would be cut through with ease by just about any half-decent team, even if none of their midfielders were anywhere near the individual quality of any of the three.
Our midfield's problem is that 1) no one other than Casemiro is adept at sitting in front of the back four and screening, 2) no one is capable of setting and controlling the tempo, maintaining possession under pressure. All our midfielders are better further forward, none of them are particularly press resistant, and two of them have a tendency to hide from the ball a bit.

I would try this team. We just have to change our midfield until Casemiro and Eriksen comes back.——————-———de gea—————————

If fit, yes it’s an obvious improvementSurely Fred and Martial start.
How many more sleeps ‘till we have a midfield?I would try this team. We just have to change our midfield until Casemiro and Eriksen comes back.
