Wondering if Shaw needs a start on the bench to wake him up - he's been looking less and less in control defensively over the past few games. Arguably Rashford too. Not that Sancho has done much to earn a start either though.

Agree, I'd drop shaw for Malacia. I'd also like to see Bruno dropped, he's been so poor in the league for a while.

Dropping Bruno would be cutting off your nose to spite your face. Even when he's playing badly he's the only one making anything happen.

If you get your wish I hope you enjoy watching us being even more toothless than we have been in the league recently. Who do you replace him with anyway, Sancho? Hardly pulling up any trees.

Sancho yes. Bruno hasn't done anything in our last 3 pl games. I would go with this front 4

    Antony........Sancho ......... rashford
    .....................Martial...................

If eriksen isn’t fit about, play martinez DM. Shaw at cb with Varane and Malacia Lb to freshen things up. Rashford, martial and Antony front 3. Go at them from the start.

In the run into the end of the season, every game is a must-win.
If we continue to slip up, we could find ourselves out of the top 4, which would be a huge problem for us next year, without CL football.

As long as we don't continue playing Weghorst and McT, I'm happy with whomever ETH picks.

We need a good win here to set up the last portion of this hectic season.

    DDG
    AWB Varane Martinez Shaw
    Sabitzer Fred
    Antony Bruno Rashford
    Martial

Is there any doubt that we're fecked ?

Seems entirely appropriate and impartial to appoint this man as referee for our games given the teams we're currently competing with in the table:

Wow. He must see Keegan getting mindfecked by Ferguson every time he officiates a United match.

I'm not totally against this, as Bruno probably needs a rest. I still think you'll find that Bruno will come on and prove to be more influential than Sancho, if this is indeed the team that starts tomorrow night.

Brentford know they have a great chance of winning tomorrow. Our CM is barely of PL quality and our No 9 has just returned from injury.

The fact we're worried about the ref against fecking Brentford says it all about how bad our form is.

    .................. De Gea

    Bissaka - Varane - Martinez - Shaw

    ............ Sabitzer - Fred

    Fernandes - Weghorst - Rashford

    ................. Martial

If we start Martial, there really isn't any reason to have Weghorst in the team.

Marinner, Taylor, Oliver - the three horsemen of the VARpocalypse. Dread seeing their names pop up in our games.
There are many other refs along with these who hate us too.

Disgraceful to let him ref any longer.

Yes, to add physicality in the middle. Fred an Sabitzer as a pairing is a bit weak.

No Cas no party, Rashford doing very little in terms of creating plays, and now our X-factor in Garnacho is not available, we need a lot of luck to win this one

    Rashford
    Sancho Martial Antony
Covid Martial spent a good bit of time dropping in to the 10 position and letting Bruno go ahead. He even dropped in to the 10 at the weekend at one point and pushed Rashford further forward.

You’ve then got 3 players behind Rashford actually capable of keeping possession, working space and slipping balls behind defenders that will actually penetrate the 18 yarder.

    Might be worth a look.

How is this allowed? A PL referee shouldn't be an active supporter of a PL club. He attended the league cup final and was signing with Newcastle fans in Trafalgar square. No way can he be considered impartial.

It's certainly attacking. Maybe a bit too gung ho though, especially without Casemiro. You'd probably also need Eriksen in the team to make sure it gets into those 3 behind Rashford anywhere near the box as well.

Don't think tomorrow night is the time to try this.

Yeah, it's really not a good look. If you're a Premier League ref then you really shouldn't be attending a match as a fan. Especially as Newcastle could well be challenging for the title within the next 4/5 years or so with their new owners... Can you imagine him reffing a match or being the VAR in a match another title challenger is playing in and making a dodgy call?

Think of all the effort Liverpool fans go to in trying to make out Howard Webb is a United fan, yet this has been overlooked for years!

It beggars belief, in all honesty. Imagine the outcry if a premier league ref donned a United shirt in public.

Michael Oliver is openly a Newcastle fan and his bosses expect him to be impartial when reffing the teams around them? Someone make that make sense please?

Desperately need a win in what will be a very difficult game. I expect them to come to Old Trafford and be the better team but hope we can get the rest.

May as well start Martial, there isn’t much point in protecting him as he’ll get injured anyway just get whatever we can out of him before that happens. Fred must surely come in for Mctominay given how bad he’s been in last two games for us.
