I don't know about the matchday thread but the score prediction of the Chelsea game was showing a pretty even split between United and Chelsea winning.

This game tonight is different, a good 2/3rds are going for a Villa win.

No result would shock me tonight. Could certainly see us doing enough to win, but a flat performance like against Newcastle in the league cup isn’t unrealistic.

Ideally I'd like Mainoo, Erikson and Bruno but I'd take Mainoo, Amrabat and Bruno. Hell, I'd even take Amrabat, Erikson and Bruno.

If he puts McT in with as starter again he can only be asking for the chop. The only way he can play one defensively minded midfielder is if the other one is Erikson who can actually show for a pass and make progressive passes himself.

I think pundits will expect a draw or a Villa win. That's how bad we are right now. From a manager who won manager of the month to a manager waiting to be sack, what a turnaround. This game 4 am over here, I won't even bother to watch. Let's see if we manage to win when I wake up tomorrow.

I don't think I've ever felt so flat going to a Boxing Day game but we've got to keep on getting on with it.

The weird thing with this United team is I wouldn't be surprised if we end up winning this one with a McTominay header.

I watch every game but I don't live in a time zone where I have to get up at 4 am. People have priorities, especially around this time of year.

Everybody is hoping for the win. People are dealing with the fear of losing. If you hammer into your head that the team you love will be torn apart, anything that actually will happen in the game will hurt less.
