The way that Garnacho has always been rigidly stuck left I assumed he could not play right either this is a Rocky switching to southpaw move or ETH is an absolute moron... he has been sticking Rashford right and Garnacho left when by tonight's evidence the reverse is a far better and natural solution. Rashford playing like that on the left will create chances for Rasmus and Garnacho....

I should feel elated after tonight and I do, but geez even more evidence if needed of ETH's ineptitude

Think without doubt Eriksen back in midfield was a massive improvement, Mainoo looked better than anyone else we have played recently in the deepest midfield position

You absolute weirdo. To write this after a comeback win when we've been playing awful is wild.

How it is? take a reality check my friend we were still awful for half the game, and let's face it Villa had their chances to score in the second half too, as I said I am thrilled with the result, I was screaming when we scored, and absolutely loving it! my point was if Garnacho can clearly play that well on the right, why have we never seen him there before? especially given that sticking Rashford, last season's top scorer in that position clearly has had a negative impact on his form and attitude!

45 minutes of decent attacking play against a defence which was very vulnerable to speed hardly papers over the absolute shite we have been seeing all season, and I reiterate my point, there has clearly been a very viable option which has been ignored to this point, even to the extent that the wingers never invert under ETH! as I say I had assumed it was because it was not viable, clearly it was, but it seems that ETH does not coach the front men rotating, and we get bogged down in attack especially on the wings.

Bit different beating a high flying Villa side than that pitiful Newcastle side, but yes.

Not away from home. They have a gd of -5.

Plus we're just coming off a loss against low flying West Ham after drawing away to table topping Liverpool! Not sure table position means anything for us.

The important thing is that we now have some kind of template against teams that give us space like Villa and Chelsea and also to shut up shop against top teams like Liverpool. Now we need to see this consistently and hope that we improve significantly against low block teams.

Aston Villa, a bit like Spurs, have capitalised on a tactical novelty and some momentum for a while. Teams can, and will, adjust to the kamikaze high line just as Manchester United did last night, and Spurs were extremely fortunate to hold on against Everton.

God knows what Emery was thinking giving Rashford half the pitch to run into over and over again.

West Ham were in the top 6 yesterday, how is that low flying? Villa have won every game this season they’ve been ahead in.

Okay, got our arse handed to us by Bournemouth. Now you can go on and read the rest of the post instead of nitpicking.

In fairness you were not alone. But come on mate grow some! There were just 26 minutes gone! The negativity on this forum is shocking.

it can be, take the person who posted these ;)

Meh. We might win and win well or we might lose and lose badly. That’s United in 2023. I have little faith in this lot

Nah . We will get slaughtered on Sunday regardless

Hojlund won't score unless he gets the service he deserves which he ain't getting. I fear it will be another shitshow and ETH will come out with more crap. He just can't inspire the players, they are playing without the fear of consequences if they don't perform. If they get dropped, they still get paid their salary. Where's the incentive for these players? I hope I wrong and we win and Hojluns scores a hat-trick.
Well, I was wrong, Hojlund only got one!
