Needs to be benched for a few gamesI don't really think it matters how we line up or how we intend to play as long we continue a) playing 4 attacking players that offer very little tracking back b) leave the very subpar midfield 2 stranded c) play the back line so deep. it's just really disconnected

The were better when we completely switched off for 20 minutes.
We were comfortably better for the first 10 minutes and for the last. We've created more chances and scored the only goal of the half.
We haven't been great, but this shite about Villa being so much better is nonsense. We've handed them their best chances and they still weren't able to score.

He's had a lot of space to receive the ball, but once he's got the ball he's ballsed up every opportunity by waiting too long or making the wrong decision. How can that be classed as an improved performance? It's basically AWB every week, given tons of space but creates feck all despite it.I mean, it's a bit better, far more passion, but still a long way to go.
There is clearly more effort from the front and we've won the ball back high up quite a few times. We're also playing a higher line than usually and the full backs are way up the pitch, especially Dalot and we're stretching play more. We could have had 5. Works both ways.Good game. We dealt with Villa dropping in between the lines very well as the half went on.
We can’t have the defenders dropping off anymoreAlan Shearer, Christ I hate him.That was a much more encouraging half for me. Definitely some shaky moments and we've allowed Villa too much space on the edge of the D. I think we've looked slightly better in possession (though still some bad decisions being made too frequently). We also look more organised in our defensive work from the front, but there looks like there's a bit too much indecision from Scott and Fred as to whether to push further up - some times that's creating too much space in the midfield. Some promising signs though.
Yeah made worse by the fact that Greenwood doesn’t run quick enough to make the ball easier. They started level. But of course the Caf doesn’t care.
Rashford decision making gets worse and worse. Kills the fluidity of our attacks. Just needs to pass and move.
