He has been all game, made a point to watch him mainly as I'm bitter he's starting ahead of Rafael. He'd made 4 mistakes before the goal and has made a few since.

Rafael would be harshly criticised for such errors but since we all have low expectations of Val to begin they pass without comment

Think Luke Shaw has been poor so far. Offered nothing going forward and has been unusually destroyed defensively too. I'd quite like to see Di Maria switched to the left and Young at left back. Double up on Bellerin and get the second yellow. It's there for the taking. Just bring someone in to track Monreal on the right.

On the whole it's been open and a good game to watch. Opportunities and breaks all round.
