We've been really poor so that's not hard. You are right that he's been fine, nothing special but he never is, but you can't play a diamond with no attacking threat from out wide and there's a much more obvious option to get more attacking threat from left back than there is at right back.

Greenwood also needs to do a far better job holding up the ball. They know his touch when receiving with his back to goal can be suspect so they've stuck a CB on him every time he comes deep and it just bounces off him.

Spot on, no way Fred should be at the base of the diamond. He won more tackles in the last third which helped create the chances in the week. His passing isn't good enough to play there either....

What is McTominay doing? He hasn't done anything. Fred's passing is terrible as usual. Get McTominay off and bring on Matic and let Bruno and Pogba get a bit forward. This is why I wouldn't start with Rashford and Greenwood.

Agreed mctominay played there originally and he’s better at tackling high up. No idea why it’s changed.

I still expect us to win this. We have the more creative players and firepower. Just need to create that first great chance and push on from there. Arsenal are playing well, but we have more potential gears to move through.

None of the players are at fault today though some have bee poor its all on the manager.
Our set up is making it ease for them and hard for us. saka has been free on the flank all half and there has been zero adjustment from ole.

We are walking it back and forth in our own penalty box without attempting anything.

Just need to shift it more quickly, play out to the wing and around the first line of their press. You can’t do that without speed in the passing and basic movement, which we’ve had none of.

Quite a poor game a part from a quality pass from Rashford to Greenwood, tight angle and keeper saved it.
DDG had nothing to do, mainly due to poor finishing from Saka and William
Arsenal are very compact and been no space for the players to work in

It is worrying seeing him 2cm off the centre backs, and being so close to goal, when he's not a great passer.

However, having Pogba there would be even riskier. McTom is an even less effective passer.

If we stick with this formation, we need to get Matic on instead of McTom, then move Fred forward.
